Silent Hills: playable teaser/trailer

So I was thrilled to begin with for this game. Guillermo del Toro & Hideo Kojima working together on a Silent Hill game? Yay! Then last night, pretty much on accident, the hetero life mate found a video of the playable teaser playthrough and shit got really real, really fast.

If you wanted to see for yourself what it's like (either don't have access to a PS4 like myself, haven't gotten around to checking it out yet OR didn't know about it) I found videos of some dude playing it. Warning: jump scares. Also warning: he talks A LOT. I tuned him out for a bit and then ended up, along with the other people watching it with me, yelling at him to look at stuff like he could hear us.







If someone has a more focused/quieter play through feel free to post it, otherwise what are your thoughts on it, are you going to be buying it upon release, etc?

Also, it's been said the demo/teaser has no actual relation to the game, but pretty great idea for advertising just the same.

Might be the game that makes me grab a PS4. Never got too into the series but I don't see how it couldn't be awesome with the dudes involved.

I watched it with a group of people and was still freaked the fuck out by the time it was over. :lol: I had to go switch out the laundry in my basement and was jumping at every little thing. Eventually ran my butt back up stairs like a little kid who thinks the boogeyman is chasing them.

I watched the trailer play through two days ago and I screamed SEVERAL times. There's no chance I'll actually be able to play that game. Hubby straight up said he REFUSED to let me have that game.... I don't think he saw the GIANT grin on my face while I was screaming my head off. I'm so so excited for this!! It looks like a true return to form for my favorite survival horror franchise. I will be watching LP's on YouTube when it comes out and I'll still probably pee myself several times :lol:

I'm so excited I kinda want to play SH2 because I have Silent Hill on the brain now.

It was so good! I felt like there were only a few jump scares but it was mostly atmospheric and kind of a mind fuck. Soooo creepy.

I watched a Youtube player play the demo and I thought it was pretty well done. I wasn't "scared". But I also wasn't playing it fully.
I kind of want to try the Silent Hill games but I get super freaked out and have nightmares.

I have to detach myself from the game play with the SH series because if I don't my anxiety sky rockets and it becomes a pretty horrible experience. But I will say they are one of my favorite game series ever.
