This thread has turned very interesting. We are tapping into the basis of the web cam phenomenon - real people, contact in a controlled environment, non-destructive sex. In the ocean of porn and free nudity, a cam model can carve out a place, make money and pull back a certain amount of control of their life. Some models already make their own websites, and It doesn't require crypto. A lot of them still stay on a platform. One of the challenges is traffic. It's usually easier to get traffic on a major website. If an unknown model puts a video on PH, it can get a million views without any upfront costs.

Some models are also already doing business through other channel like skyprivates, which is taking like 25%.

There are models who work completely through reddit, but their not getting the traffic they would probable get on CB, MFC. And there is greater risk for model and consumer. If reddit bans the practice their kind of SOL.

Even if you switch to crypto. Most of these models don't change. I mean CB is still going to want their percentage, there is still taxes. Self hosting, There is still web hosting fees, SEO, advertising, taxes. Even if crypto exchange fees are cheaper, that would probable just mean it drives the price of adult credit cards fees down.

To be fair crypto can be converted to cash pretty easily depending on what currency or exchange service you use. Hell, when CB pays me in bitcoin I can have the cash in my account within a half hour.

I am not suggesting that anyone spend time chatting with followers for free. Just capture their contact info somehow. They are your clients.

The rest of it will happen organically. Right now it is hard to turn crypto into cash. It will get easier. And when it does, two primary functions of the platform will be replaceable - easy micro payments and currency conversion. Also, there are no charge backs with crypto. Your platform does drive traffic and it is an eco-system. That may not change. But pressure from alternative business models will give you more leverage which will result in a better split on the token payments.

Do you also fixate on the portion of your cup of coffee at a coffee shop that goes to cover rent? Or the amount you pay an Etsy seller that goes to Etsy? Or eBay? Or when you go to a hairdresser many hairdressers are independent contractors and the salon takes a % in return for delivering them traffic, a place to work etc.

Even when you donate to a non profit a portion must go to overhead costs.

This is the cost of doing business. Our operations overhead is our business, not yours. We make a decision about that, not you.

It's common when we donate or gift money to still feel some ownership of it even when it's no longer ours. It's the same attitude that comes in when we criticize how a homeless person spends the $5 you give them.

It's incredibly and deeply patronizing when members do this to me. I find myself constantly having to explain my business choices. It implies that the customer knows better than i do how i should run my business, that they feel their money is still theirs even once it's mine. No eBay buyer has ever done to me.

We are not stupid. We are aware we could choose to get a higher cut if we use direct methods. We have made the choice to forgo that for a reason.

The services and goods you receive are the same regardless of whether you agree or disagree with our business decisions about where and how to work

Well actually in many restaurants in europe managment take a cut from the tips.

Plus do not forget a thing an waiter have a fixed loan plus tip , he is an enployee.
A cam model its an independent contractor that means you have your own bussines , even if you work in colaboration with bigger corporation on a percent basis you are still an independent contractor. So if you really understand how the financial system goes and basic bussines knowledge you would also understand thats impossible to be paid 100%
