Style. Get some. Have some.

Tips and suggestions for every day, casual, business or jacket and tie affairs. Let's have them.

What do you like? What drives you crazy?

From bottom to top: Shoes, socks, undies, pants, shirts, outer wear, jewelry and haircut.

I think clean clothes and being cleaned up goes a long way. Style is pretty subjective to the person.
That being said, I like jeans and a t-shirt. Effortless and simple.

Pretty much everything this guy does. Not even sorry for the pic spam.

Any preferences on jeans? "Regular" vs "Designer"?

Type of footwear with jeans?

How about jeans that get sent to the cleaners and come back with the crease from being pressed?

Um, Noelle, I think we need more pics before we can make a decision.

And as for women, I love shirts/dresses that show shoulders (too much flesh is unappealing, but shoulders are sexy).
Flare-leg pants looks AMAZING on women of all sizes.

My boyfriend will only wear Ted Baker and I've grown to really like their clothes and the way they fit him.
I like colorful and fun patterned shirts, that are still classy.
He basically wears the stuff below, but with jeans and sneakers.

I'm not one for suits and the like. I always figured a sharp dressed man could include matching t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Could through in a good fitted too. That's how I dress.

Personally I don't think you need "designer" anything to know how to dress and to know how to dress yourself well. That goes for men and women alike. I don't need to spend 300$ on an outfit to look amazing. So when it comes to my men I don't requires of them 200$ jeans and ridiculously priced shirts. Just my personal opinion, you don't need loads of extra cash to dress well.

My pet peeve is shoes. Shoes are something I pay attention to on men. My friends would tell you it's were my eyes go first. I can't stand when I see a well dressed guy nice short jeans looking so sexy and then I look down and he has dirty ass shoes on?! Like WTF? For example white sneakers the need to either thrown out or wipe with some show cleaner. It only takes two seconds guys clean and polish hour shoes! To me shoes say something about a man and when you have funky dirty torn up or some weird ass shows on...it's speaking to me and it's telling me NEXT!

Jeans with a crease from the cleaners? Haha I'm dying....no crease not in jeans...no way!! Hahaha!

The number one way for men AND women to be well-dressed it to have clothes that actually FIT. Anything that is too small or too big will make you look like a schlub, every single time. I'd rather have a man in a well-fitting dirty t-shirt and wrinkled jeans that are the right size than a man in a baggy-ass business suit.

I know that one of my incredibly well-dressed friends said that whenever he buys a pair of pants, he ALWAYS takes them to a tailor to get them fitted to him. It serves him very well and I think it's a good tip! I think it applies to shirts too, but I would imagine probably not t-shirts.

I can't do form fitting clothes. There's just too much contact. It feels funny. Give a t-shirt a size or two too big, and a pair of wide leg jeans. I'm straight after that.

If I recall, when we did the special skype date, we ended up matching. I will keep Ted Baker in mind. :)

This thread made me wet.
Lol

My husband just wears t-shirts and sweat pants or pajama pants, usually... =/
He's been saying that once he loses some weight and gets a decent flow of money, he wants to start dressing nicely, but who knows when that will be.

I have found this to be true for myself over the last year. Having clothes that fit makes a HUGE difference imo. Though, that being said, I didn't feel comfortable wearing things too fitted until I lost about 30 lbs about a year ago. I would much rather have hidden my body in oversized clothes.

I need to do this! I have a long torso and shorter legs, I rarely find pants with the correct inseam. I think I'm just too lazy to go through the extra trouble of having them tailored. I'm sure it would be worth my time and money.

I agree with this along with the comments about getting clothes that fit correctly. Personally, I like to copy designer looks with more reasonably priced clothes because $75 for a plain v-neck t-shirt or $200-300 for a pair of jeans is just ridiculous.

I've always loved to dress up and wear suits.

It's pretty important for a short guy like me. Nothing will fit off the rack, ever. Well, there's always the kids' section... Form fitting clothes are especially important for me due to my slight build. That's one of the reasons for my panic at my mid-thirties weight gain. :confusion-helpsos:

Am I the only one who thinks suit jackets are plain stupid wastes of money? How the sleeves meet at the shoulder is the dumbest thing ever! They only look good when you aren't moving, they're either too hot or too cold for any given occasion and they're too much effort to take care of. Bleh! The rest of a suit is just fine. I think the jackets really need to be rethought and redesigned.

So you're good with ... pants?

Maybe he means a 3-piece suit, so he likes the vest/waistcoat and trousers but not the jacket.

Exactly! Could lose the tie too, though.
