Oh I love this video, I flipped when I realized what it was...
Don't worry, I won't spoil it. ;)

I've seen it before but I still don't know if I counted correctly

We saw this video originally in our psychology classes... yes, very interesting and a clever look in to how selective perception works. This is why eye witness accounts should not be taken at face value as evidence.

When we were younger, my siblings and I read a lot of books. When my brother was reading a story he was interested in, you could turn the lights on and off in the room, yell his name, do crazy stuff right in front of him, and do anything you could think of short of grabbing him to get his attention, with no success. Whenever he finally looked up he would have no idea there was a circus going on in front of him for the last ten minutes.

For anyone else bored and interested in this topic, take a gander at the baader meinhof phenomenon. It is the concept that when you first learn about something new (such as learning the meaning to a word), you are far more likely to encounter that word more often in your day to day life afterwords.

I thought baader-meinhof was a group of German terrorists. I remember them always bombing something when I live in Germany in the late 70s early 80s.

Edit Ahhh I see that might be where the name came from, interesting.

 My dad sent me a series of these to keep me occupied when I first got put on bedrest after surgery. It was interesting to see who could get the most right. After I started homeschool he made stuff like this part of my homework. Definitely an interesting concept.
