What got me was the rapid use of A.I. and the changes that are happening in the online Sex Trade that we don't even see.

Content creators will always have viewership. A.I. doesn't compete with them on platforms such as Onlyfans, Fansly, etc.

They will but they've been hit hard by AI. All the Fan Sites i've been keeping track of have seen a drop in traffic from only a year ago. I don't know if the type of person to reach of AI content is likely to spend a lot of money though anyway lol.

Cam Sites have faired a lot better tbh. I mean Stripchat and Chaturbate are still the 6th and 8th highest ranked sites in the world (Similarweb Ranking, Feb 2025) and thats not including whitelabels.

I think this is going to be a revolution because AI is going to produce tons of videos that can mislead humans. And it will also create a lot of low quality videos through human instructions. I don't think this is a good thing.

I came across and ad for candy.ai for the first time the other day and it looks to be a chat room with AI bots. I can't imagine tipping a bot, but CB did have a stint with animated "models" that people tipped heavily. I am tempted to sign up for a free account just to try "Open ass bb" or "I'll gladly tip you tomorrow for titties today", or the sure fire "show me your boobs and I'll take you private" just to see how they respond.

Yeah it's weird because the stuff that was impressive even 6 months ago is getting replaced with newer training models all the time.
Unfortunately the training models are getting smarter and smarter. Recently a new test app was released with realtime conversational AI and it is absolutely terrifying. I had to stop using it because I felt a little uncomfortable to be honest.

So far most NSFW use cases of AI have been limited by safeguards so only those who have the ability to understand how to run and train a Model on decent hardware have benefitted. About a year ago I was generating hyperrealistic anime AI art images for a NSFW web game I was making on rented servers. For most people this isn't an easy thing to do, you have to know how to rent, install the software, how to get good training results and this is only for images.

The difference is now the best training models in the industry are Deepseek AI which is completely open source and Grok which doesn't really have any filters on it. Deepseek can also run on very limited hardware in comparison to ChatGPT so the barrier for entry & cost has dropped dramatically.

I do think y'all are maybe underestimating the impact AI is going to have but that's understandable it's not a fun thing to think about. Fortunately real interactions with people can't just be replaced & even if we get to the stage where we pass the uncanny valley for Cam Show broadcasts a lot of users will still want to know if it's a real stream or not. This kind of tech is hopefully quite far away anyway.

I should mention as well new AI startups are just like any other startup. We live in a post capitalist society where money isn't useful anymore for startups, growth and power is. OpenAI (the company that made ChatGPT) is absolutely haemorrhaging money at the moment: https://www.wheresyoured.at/wheres-the-money/ so at some point they're going to need to raise prices just like everyone else to make a profit.

We also don't have an infinite supply of GPUs partly due to the scarcity of certain rare metals so this AI revolution cannot be sustainable unless the compute power required for the models drops a lot.

Sorry this is a lot of nerd shit . I went down a bit of a rabbit hole this past month lol. If anyone wants to use AI stuff for their own benefit like creating a virtual avatar I know how to generate high quality images at least for relatively cheap. Understanding how to use AI for your own personal benefit instead of subscribing to another subscription plan on a site that takes all your earnings isn't a bad idea. It's not everyones cup of tea though and it's not really that useful at the moment as publicly accesible conversational AI and videos are still either in that uncanny valley stage, cost a lot to make or have weird artefacts.

have you seen sesame yet? The progress on some of these models is crazy, especially when you combine it with how fast things have started moving in robotics too.
I dont think it's actually that far away, if the current progress keeps up I could see it being under a year before you have 100% ai vtubers.
