Just some advice to new members to the biz.

If you are going to cam, you are going to need a thick skin. Also a basic understanding of internet culture and trolling. Some people are assholes and think they can say whatever they want for many of reasons. Most of the time it's for the lols and they think saying shocking shit is funny. If you get upset towards their actions, could make you a target. Even if the site bans them, there are ways around.

Any threats of physical violence should be reported to the site asap. But silence ban/ignore if their words really do effect you. Don't ever give them the satisfaction.

Live by the "I am rubber, you are glue. Everything you say bounces off of me and sticks to you."

Also a sense of humor helps. Laugh at everything, including yourself. Nothing is sacred. Humor heals wounds and builds self confidence.

I agree in having a sense of humour, to a point. I agree you need a thick skin to work in this field. In general, I'm already well aware of everything you've said. However, I believe that having a thick skin is different than completely acquiescing, which I'm allergic to :dead:. If politely putting in my 2 cents on a forum or reporting something I think went above annoying trolling puts a target on my forehead.. bring it on. Better me than someone with no back bone.

I recently had a member that I've never seen before come into my room and pm me rape chants/jokes/a disturbing chat image
I was going to just ban them, but the comments lingered with me later in my day and I didn't want other models to end up having the same interaction with him/her so I reported it to mfc.

Do they care about things like this? Will they do anything? Was it worth reporting?

I've always had positive experiences with MFC's Model Support in situations like that, and I've always felt like they actually cared. I even remember a couple instances where the member was banned shortly after I sent MFC a complaint with screenshots (I figured they probably had several complaints from others about the very same members, and that helped their decision?). I think you did the right thing reporting it to MFC...screenshots are always good to have to back it up too.

Back in the day (when I had that MFC profile wall feature enabled) when I'd ban a member from my room, he'd head straight to MFC Mail and/or my profile wall to talk some more shit. That's when I realized I needed to ban them from the room, put them on ignore, and block them from wall posts. Though since then, I decided to just disable my wall completely. I found that wall to be useless anyway. Random people spamming you with YouTube videos, and "I rated and admired you, bb!" posts. :p

I also went to add the rape chat image to my list of banned chat images, and it didn't exist anymore so they must have gotten rid of it.

If it only keeps them from being able to pm models for a day until they go get a prepaid credit card and create a new account, that's one less day of them disturbing a model trying to entertain in peace imo.

I sure as fuck didn't let my brow furrow, I bust out laughing and commented on how funny someone's comment in my room was, as well as swiftly taking all the above actions. :)

I love getting the cute messages on my wall from members from time to time, so it's a shame that you had to disable it, but I imagine once you get more popular it can be harder to keep on top of. I try to regularly check it throughout the day and see if anything negative has been posted. So far so good.

There was some vile bullying last week on MFC of a low camscore model by two models using member accounts, who were egged on by their little possé of followers.

So bad that the bullied model pulled out a knife and threatened suicide.

Well I hope you reported it at a least. Instead of being an observer.

What do you all think of Models who would take their customer's real names and reveal them on twitter when going on a internet bullying spree?

She is also known for taking money for a custom video then never doing it for the customer, Tried to trick her customers with clever wording of alluring something beyond fantasy and wondered why it completely backfires on her later. Lots of illicit use of drugs on cam.

At this point, should she be reported to MFC and reprimanded or given a pass because she is a model and not a member? For me, it kinda breaks down the trust of the website to allow girls like that to remain.

if a model is harassing you, sure report them to the site with receipts.
