To answer your first question they will not let you transfer any mfc account to their studio. They have tried to get mfc to work with them, and mfc refuses to transfer accounts. So unless you've never signed up for mfc before, you will be unable to transfer your account to Boleyn. Even if it's an "independent" account.

This is potentially a super dumb question but.... what about creating a new account?

If you can find a way to do so go for it? In this situation if you want your account directly through Boleyn you have to create the account through their website only.
