Hello! My husband and I are a couple on Chaturbate. We use ManyCam right now and our stream shows the ManyCam watermark.
I use ManyCam to control my audio. We stream with our mic off and the music playing from pandora or youtube. My mic is off to help with my camera shyness.

With those two combined, I get quite a few people in chat saying my stream is not live. That it is a recorded video being shown. My husband will respond by turning the camera and showing their msg in chat, and show the date and time.

Are there some standard ways to prove quickly it is a live stream? I have thought about holding up a sign of the user's name that is worried it is not live. I have thought about drawing the date on my tits haha. Both would take time away from my show.

Someday, as I grow more comfortable, this problem will get fixed when we switch to OBS studio and have our mic turned on.

Thanks!

Possibly have a sign ready to go with that day's date on it.
If members are asking you to do a certain thing, e.g show feet to prove you're real, they're just trying to get free foot flashes- don't do it.

Thank you Rrottenbee! I have a little dry erase board that would make it all pretty simple. And thanks for the advice on the members. I had started to wonder if they were doing just that.

Usually the ones that are saying you're not live and that you're a recording are the greys who never have any intention of buying tokens and tipping, so personally I wouldn't feel the need or desire to have to prove yourself to them - with any method.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Most likely, the next thing out of his mouth would have been some obnoxious shit along the lines of “If you’re real, then lemme see you walk to the door and back. Say ‘Fuck me hard, Daddy!’ ” Lmao.

show them the famous 1 finger manicure

I say their usernames down to the number everytime I address them. I also say other people's full usernames in the chat too on occasion. Here are some senariors I use. I've noticed if I address people by their full or partial username, I get less of "do this to prove you are real"

"I am real *username*. If you want to see x, *username*, you need to tip me y amount."

"I'd be happy to show you my x, *username*, but you need to tip me first."

"*Username*, I don't believe you are real. Tip me x amount so you can prove to me you aren't fake."

Do you think it's simply no sound that's the issue?
Or are you constantly using the exact same toy, outfit, extra?
Do you interact with the chat in other ways or do you ignore chat?
Do you have a tip menu, do you respond to people tipping to the menu?

She clearly wrote the stream has the Manycams logo, the actual solution is to turn it off!

They could be using the free version & unable to turn it off.

This is what I thought of reading the first post. OP says quite a few people have said it so there is no way they're all trolls or mad.

The simplest way is to just reply to whatever someone says by typing in the chat. Then people will see you type and a message appear so it won't look like a recording. If you have no audio and are totally ignoring the chat I don't think its unreasonable for people to get suspicious that it is a recording.

You could do what I see often on Twitch. Say yes this is live but the chat is recorded. That is usually a good way to make the room laugh and get engaged with the joke.
