Hello ladies,

I've been an on and off viewer of MFC for a little while now after a friend of mine introduced me to it. I had a few questions regarding it when I began debating signing up as a model or not. I've browsed the rules, checked out several of the forum posts in the Ask-a-Model forum on here too, so figured I'd post a few myself.

1. What are some things to consider before finalizing a decision to become an MFC model or not?
2. Would there be any instance in which I should NOT become an MFC model?
3. What's the best thing about being an MFC model and what do you love most about it?
4. How do you truly feel about doing it?
5. Do you ever worry about people you know seeing you?
6. What part of it don't you like?
7. I've seen all the positives, so what I'm basically looking for are: what are any negatives to being a cam girl?
8. Do you keep your real life(real name, personality, etc) separate from your work?
9. What do you consider to be more successful versus less successful? I know each girl is different and each individual seeks different things, but is friendlier better/worse, bossier better/worse, etc?

If any of these questions seem at all too personal, I apologize now for it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to check this out guys! I'm truly interested in becoming a cam girl on MFC, so any answers you could give me would be great!

I've browsed the rules, checked out several of the forum posts in the Ask-a-Model forum on here too, so figured I'd post a few myself.

1. What are some things to consider before finalizing a decision to become an MFC model or not?
If you really want to have people watch you masterbate and take your cloths off basically if you have the confidence.

2. Would there be any instance in which I should NOT become an MFC model?
If you cannot take ridicule from anyone people always judge on your personality the cloths you are wearing and what you look like. And if you do not want to be found because eventually a friend or a family member is gonna find you.

3. What's the best thing about being an MFC model and what do you love most about it?
I love the attention it is awesome to get called beautiful and get tipped for it and rated all stars and admired. Also making friends online to.

4. How do you truly feel about doing it?
It is fun and thrilling the chance one of your friends or family members catch you is omg just a huge rush for me.

5. Do you ever worry about people you know seeing you?
Who doesn't? You wonder how they are gonna react if they found you doing something like this but thats part of the rush.

6. What part of it don't you like?
I don't like it when people beg you to do something for them and don't tip i mean I don't mind hey sing a song for me please Id love to hear you sing but if it comes to a body parts yea tip lol.

7. I've seen all the positives, so what I'm basically looking for are: what are any negatives to being a cam girl? Some people on here are cheap assholes that want to see if they can get a free peek and the ones who ask you where do you live and get mad if you don't tell them.

8. Do you keep your real life(real name, personality, etc) separate from your work?
I keep my real name shortened never give out ur last name or your full first name. I do keep my personality real on cam however no need to be a fake robot.

9. What do you consider to be more successful versus less successful? I know each girl is different and each individual seeks different things, but is friendlier better/worse, bossier better/worse, etc?
being friendly is very very good you want to keep a good vibe but you also need to be bossy like hey talk or tip when in my room and if you don't start talkin you better tip or your banned and I'd give them 5 mins to talk tip or both.

If any of these questions seem at all too personal, I apologize now for it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to check this out guys! I'm truly interested in becoming a cam girl on MFC, so any answers you could give me would be great!

Ooo! I am also interested in hearing about the other gals! I am kind of a survey-addict. I love getting surveyed at the mall and stuff. I can also be a bit long winded...so bear with me.

1. What are some things to consider before finalizing a decision to become an MFC model or not?
First off I always recommend reading as much as possible. This can sometimes be boring sometimes, so I'd suggest doing it during your morning coffee/breakfast/potty time, etc. The reading will help you gear up for the 'test'. It's also important to understand variables in the webcamming world. This was, and sometimes is still, my downfall. Also, coming to terms with what kind of 'show' or 'model' you want to be is important. Do you want to be cute and naughty, intelligent and seductive, etc? Knowing what kind of things you like can set up an 'atmosphere' and draw people toward you who enjoy that atmosphere. Other things to consider is what happens when the money starts going south instead of the desired north? This can happen to anyone at any time for any reason. It is smart to have plans and maybe even a 'buffer' of money in the bank that will get you by for at least a few months (we're talking staples here) just in case. Consider that people are cruel, shifty, and mean and will try any and all methods to break you, make you cry, or get free stuff. Then there are nice people who would never do that to you! Learn how to separate them quickly. It helps to have a forum like this because there is usually at least one girl who has experienced the same as you have and can be a total help. I would be in a lot more trouble if I didn't have these archives of knowledge to help guide me :)

2. Would there be any instance in which I should NOT become an MFC model?
This is one of those variables. You can not predict every single outcome. I can think of an endless list of why one shouldn't become a cam model, but also why they should. Answers can come with experience. I guess if you have serious stalker issues then maybe not then?

3. What's the best thing about being an MFC model and what do you love most about it?
The BEST thing is I get to share and explore my sexual side with any number of people! I have always been kind of an internet person. I met my mansicle online, I have always been involved in some sort of 'community' online, and I pretty much grew up online. MFC has a great token system that I love and can be a pretty laid back place. I used to work for another site where the rules/system were too strict and I never had fun. I do have fun here. It also opens people up to interacting with me. I'm kind of a social weirdo and appreciate people who are the same. I meet a lot of interesting folks here!

4. How do you truly feel about doing it?
I truly feel good about doing it. I have always wanted to share myself in this way to the outside world, but in some small way the internet realm seems more accepting of who I am. It is also soooo much easier to just ban/ignore/counter troll online than offline. If I didn't want to do this, I wouldn't be. Not to rub my ego all over everyone's eyeballs, but I fancy myself a pretty smart girl. I am sure I have the world at my feet and these are the waters I choose to dip them in.

5. Do you ever worry about people you know seeing you?
Sure! But I accept that as a potential drawback. When I worked with animals I did indeed worry about them biting my face off. Everything has its dangers and it is up to me to find them and either annihilate or come to terms with them. I had to come to terms with the fact that I might get bit by an animal, but I sure did take the preventative measures against getting bitten!

6. What part of it don't you like?
I don't like slow days. Sometimes, no matter what you do...even a free show, you will still not be on the level of interest as football. Gotta take it in stride and keep your wits about you.

7. I've seen all the positives, so what I'm basically looking for are: what are any negatives to being a cam girl?
A few are: You might get caught, you might get a creepy stalker, you might not make it the way you think you're gonna make it, you might get your feelings hurt really bad, you might...anything! I guess it just depends how you weight it all.

8. Do you keep your real life(real name, personality, etc) separate from your work?
Yes and no. I am genuine when I get online except that any negativity I have I try to squish it down. If I'm in a bad mood, I try not to show it AND make very valid attempts to get into a good mood. Sometimes I purposely go online just to get into a good mood. However, there needs to be a separation. I do this no matter where I have worked because I used to be an open book. My policy was 'If I'm too ashamed to talk about it, I shouldn't be doing it' Which was a total fail on my part. Learned from it, and now I know where I'd like to draw the line.

9. What do you consider to be more successful versus less successful? I know each girl is different and each individual seeks different things, but is friendlier better/worse, bossier better/worse, etc?
There is no black/white dichotomy to being a successful cam model. Everyone has different tastes AND those tastes are constantly changing (which I realize you pointed out). For me, I just go with how I am- I am a goofball, I say/do stupid things constantly, I am sexy in that girlish, cutesy, almost kind of raunchy way, I try to be stern when necessary but I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt (aka I'm pretty friggin laid back/nice), I can be a little impatient (I like to be kept busy!), and I enjoy the novelty in things! Does this make me successful? Fuck if I know. All I know is I am comfortable doing what I am doing and the hope that other people enjoy this is high. I've just kind of started on MFC, too, so I can't really say one way or the other. My interpretation of the high cam score models is: novelty, friendly, active, confident, engaging, lovely. That is just how I see my favorite toppers, so in a way I try to emulate those characteristics...but the thing is is that they're my favorite because that's my taste, and because it's my taste it's also kind of part of my personality, so I guess I am kind of already there?
A better answer would be: I don't know.

....ok. So I'm just gonna punch it and go. I keep re-reading, wondering what is a worthwhile answer, but that is a question for the ages.

1. What are some things to consider before finalizing a decision to become an MFC model or not?
Would you be ok with your parents finding it, kids, friends, EX's, boyfriend(s), etc, even ten or twenty years down the line?
Can you stand it if ten people constantly made fun of you all day and you couldn't stop them even with banning most of them?
Can you be in a good mood even when suddenly you're not making anything? Obviously no one is going to pay you if you're unhappy.
Do you accept the risk that--no matter how sexy, smart, or unique you are--that you'll fail for no known reason?
Do you give up at failure? Camgirls fail often, sometimes daily, and sometimes for month long stretches. You have to be able to pick yourself up and start over sometimes. You'll lose fans to death, girlfriends, wives, kids, lives, or they'll lose their jobs. If you can keep going and "starting over" when times are tough, great.

2. Would there be any instance in which I should NOT become an MFC model?

Basically if you can't handle it don't bother. Most camgirls quit within six months or less, and that's for very good reasons.

3. What's the best thing about being an MFC model and what do you love most about it?

Best thing about MFC is that you can have more of a social room than a sex room. It depends on what you want. Some sites are just the oposite; both have their pros and cons. The more social, the more drama. The more sexual, the more well, sexual.

4. How do you truly feel about doing it?

I love it.

5. Do you ever worry about people you know seeing you?

I don't hide my job when people in person ask me what I do. If you'd be ashamed of this, I'd recommend against doing it even for free.

6. What part of it don't you like?
Losing fans/friends over drama or deception. People will fake online, even for years. It happens.

7. I've seen all the positives, so what I'm basically looking for are: what are any negatives to being a cam girl?

Want to cut, die, or change your hair? You better not or they'll flip out. Want a tattoo? Oh, if you didn't have any starting out they'll probably claim you're "ruining" your body and leave you over it no matter how much of a "friend" they are. As much as we try to make it clear that our bodies are ours, our members will never believe it. Never. They'll -always- take it personal if you're not the same person physically as you started out to be, and if you develop mentally/socially you're almost equally screwed. This is part of the whole thing that leads to starting over.

8. Do you keep your real life(real name, personality, etc) separate from your work?
To a point, yes. The more you do it the more you find yourself in a "mood" while you're on cam. It's a pleasant feeling for me but also sort of a "persona." Dumbasses can call a persona faking, but honest in the end you'll just feel like it's your half of the fantasy. The part that keeps you enjoying it, and the part that keeps it from driving you crazy when things get bad.

9. What do you consider to be more successful versus less successful? I know each girl is different and each individual seeks different things, but is friendlier better/worse, bossier better/worse, etc?
Faking any sort of positive feeling (different from having a "mood" while on cam by far,) or sexual excitement can be a total fail on most sites. Other sites that are more sexual based almost encourage it however. It's up to you what you want to do, no one knows what will be a success. Everyone can fail, and it surprises many of us when some girls make it to the top.

1. What are some things to consider before finalizing a decision to become an MFC model or not?
Your goals or hopes for this, The tools/plans you need to achieve them,

2. Would there be any instance in which I should NOT become an MFC model?
Tons. If people get under your skin easily, don't bother. A sense of humor and the ability to laugh at oneself is seriously important. Also, there may be other things you aspire to that a history as a camgirl could wreak havoc on.

3. What's the best thing about being an MFC model and what do you love most about it?
$ and liberation from pants of course!

4. How do you truly feel about doing it?
Free, amused that anyone would drop tokens to hang out with me, proud to be in the good company of many excellent women rocking out with their (figurative) cocks out.

5. Do you ever worry about people you know seeing you?
No. I try never to anyting I'm willing to apologize for or be ashamed of. My spirit is pretty rebellious though. I've never been one to hurt over the opinions of others or need approval.

6. What part of it don't you like?
Setting up lighting, trying to figure out the best time to log in, planning to log in then having my mood crash, losing regs, camscore, and my inner slacker constantly sabotaging things. hehe.

8. Do you keep your real life(real name, personality, etc) separate from your work?
Name yes! I'm too lazy to make up the rest of it. Sometimes that makes me a bit boring. Not enough fantasy in my room.

9. What do you consider to be more successful versus less successful? I know each girl is different and each individual seeks different things, but is friendlier better/worse, bossier better/worse, etc?
It all works I suspect. Just make sure to throw out the Thank Yous appropriately. Hehe.

1. Things to consider: Will this be my only income? What "kind" of model do I want to be? What kind of fans do I want? How much of my life can I devote to this?

2. If I had any reason to be scared of family members finding out, camming affecting my future career, anything of that sort...I would definitely not cam.

3. I'm an exhibitionist, and I truly get turned on while being on cam. Back in the day, I would get naked on yahoo IM just for the fun of strangers watching me. I love to explore my sexuality, and MFC allows me to explore as much as I like, while having the awesome benefit of saving money for college. It's fantastic, really. And the guys are a huge benefit. Even though a vast majority of them are demanding losers, there are a handful that are fantastic people and they make great online friends. I really do value my skype and yahoo buddies, and I believe that they are as much my friends as "real life" friends, since nowadays they tend to just be facebook friends anyway! I spend most of my time online, and I would cam much more if circumstances allowed!

4. Damn, I've been drinking and I forgot what question 4 was before I erased it :(

5. Nope, because I'm proud of what I do and proud of who I am and my sexuality and I will defend it when and if asked. I would just say that they are as "bad" as I am for being on the site and looking around so much that they saw me, with my measly 601 camscore anyway :p

6. I don't like...people not respecting me. Not respecting that it takes a lot of effort, not respecting women in general.

7. Negatives: Not having a "steady" income, not being able to use camming to say, get an apartment or anything. Not being able to tell anyone. Having a big gap in your resume.

8. I do try to keep my personal life separate from my cam persona, but I am always myself when on cam. I don't cam often because I try to get online when I'm actually excited to be there. I do love camming, but after a couple hours, it can be trying. And of course, who wants weird stalkers? lol!

9. I believe that any model who is just "herself" when on cam is a successful model. Amber is always Amber, as well as a handful of the top models. The ones that try to be a pornstar or put prices on everything and are bossy, ungrateful, etc. are unsuccessful. (good) Men appreciate seductive women who respect themselves.

1. What are some things to consider before finalizing a decision to become an MFC model or not?

-are you okay with people finding out
-are you able to deal with trolls
-are you able to deflect prying questions
-are you able to make sure you don't give away your location to those watching

2. Would there be any instance in which I should NOT become an MFC model?

If you are not okay with people finding out, then don't be a model. What's online stays online.

3. What's the best thing about being an MFC model and what do you love most about it?

The community.

4. How do you truly feel about doing it?

That really depends on the day. Usually, I love it, but sometimes, it annoys the shit out of me. But then again, I'm not really a people person. I mean, the closest I got to a circle of friends was my irc roleplay group. Note- IRC, I never met them in real life.

5. Do you ever worry about people you know seeing you?

Yes

6. What part of it don't you like?

Trolls, beggers, haters, stalkerish people, and those who feel like because they tipped you once you owe them the world.

7. I've seen all the positives, so what I'm basically looking for are: what are any negatives to being a cam girl?

Pretty well already answered that, along with the other girls.

8. Do you keep your real life(real name, personality, etc) separate from your work?

this is incredibly important. It's one thing if people you know find out you what you do- you might lose their respect and/or friendship. It's another thing if people online find out where you live- you might lose your life.

9. What do you consider to be more successful versus less successful? I know each girl is different and each individual seeks different things, but is friendlier better/worse, bossier better/worse, etc?

There is one thing that fails for everybody- faking. you can only keep up a false persona for so long. Be yourself. Just be the sexiest version of yourself- be it cute sexy, bitchy sexy, or intelligent sexy.
