Hello, I am a regular user of chaturbate and I don't intend to broadcast. If I do c2c with a broadcaster on the site, do I have to be age verified? I can't seem to find this info on the site. The model told me that I don't need to but they need to because they earn tokens.

Anyone can confirm this?

I don't know exactly, but one of my friends said that chaturbate login is automatically directed to a login panel like facial recognition age verification. According to USA TEXAS laws, there is an age restriction and verification is required. CB main office is written as California. Perhaps such laws may exist in California. If they're trying new somethings, we will all know soon.
Yes, we will find out! But before that we will "test" it and get a bunch of blocked accounts!

I don't get any redirection if I register a new account right now. But I'm not in the US, although we also have rules about minors.

The problem is that in order to actually comply with all the necessary rules, Chaturbate needs to be banned from showing below the belt updates, or make it a closed community. Or at least add a "blur" button if the model exposes herself in a public chat.

But in this case they will lose traffic and their gimmick, which attracts the “freeloaders” who create this traffic. But this will make it possible to really limit children's access to the platform.

That's why I think that they are banning "allegedly" because of minors' access, it's an attempt to show that we are doing something... Normal guys who don't violate this suffer, and really minors still have access to the platform, and they don't even need to register an account to do what they want. What did they come for...

You are absolutely right in what you wrote. If you are banning registered users, then no one should be able to watch the shows without registering. And I think your idea of blurring the screen is great. You could ask for age verification when registering then. But I am not sure how many users would accept this.

You can see how this might look like in the example strimate. I don't work there, but the girls say that they have done everything possible to restrict access for minors.

If anyone is familiar with this site, please tell me how they do it?
It seems they have a rule about not exposing yourself below the waist in public chat. And if I want to visit this site, I need to register

What? There is no requirement to register before viewing streamate.

If a visitor is from a state that has those new enforced age verification laws then CB requires age verification first and won't show anything until that's done.

The problem is that in order to actually comply with all the necessary rules, Chaturbate needs to be banned from showing below the belt updates, or make it a closed community.

What? What does below the belt have to do with anything?

Edit: also are you posting on two accounts now?

@cbhours for the longest time SM didn't allow below the belt nudity in free chat. I believe at one point you couldn't even be topless but then that became lax. Like you could do a panty tease but you couldn't show bare skin/genitalia.

I actually thought that rule was still in place on streamate I didn't realize they took it out but I don't understand what she means by CB needs to do it.

It may still be in place and I'm sure someone who works there knows. The concept simply wouldn't work on CB, too much happens in public and changing it would seriously piss off everyone.

Yes, I talked about this rule. I recently read them and it is still present in the text. In any case, I did not find a link to a site to look at models in Google, only registration for a model account

When I talk about why Chaturbate should do this, I'm talking about children's access to the platform.
Many are accused of this, but in fact, children still have access to the platform without hindrance! They do not even need to register an account to see it in a free chat!
But in this case, the responsibility is shifted to the model, and the model is also blocked. But even if minors actually got onto the site, is that the model's responsibility? Or maybe Chaturbate allowed this to happen? (we're not talking about role-playing games or anything like that)

That's what I'm talking about. To really solve this problem, they need to change the concept. Which of course will hit traffic, rating, income, etc.

That's why they pretend to fight it! Transferring this to the models. And they “catch” users for “alleged” violations. Which actually have nothing to do with breaking any real law.

Yes, I agree that the problem with someone coming into your room and saying they are 17 (and you can get banned) may still exist. But it will be easier to solve with the right settings.

I use translation, thanks for explaining my point.

Live thumbnails are one of the biggest attractions to CB.

PARENTS SHOULD MONITOR THEIR CHILDREN AND KEEP THEM OFF THE INTERNET AND BLOCK SITES THAT ARE AGAINST THEIR MORAL COMPASS AND LEAVE FREE ENTERPRISE ALONE. I AM NOT YOUR CHILD'S BABYSITTER, YOUR CHILD IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY BUT HOW YOU LET THEM ACCESS THE INTERNET IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

STOP BLAMING THE INDUSTRY AND PUT THE ONUS ON THE PARENTS WHERE IT BELONGS. THERE IS A TON OF PORN ON REDDIT, X AND OTHER SITES THAT IS JUST AS EASILY ACCESSED BUT NO ONE IS PUTTING THE KIBOSH ON THEIR CONTENT.

And with that, I'm done. All this is going in a circular motion and I don't have the patience.

What are you talking about? The model doesn't have anything happen to them if they report them / ban them

You are now writing in a topic where a user was blocked for the same problem.
I would like to believe what you say if I hadn't read the threads here.
Or look at this.
There was another topic earlier where the model was banned for this (she worked for 10 years, I think.

I will repeat once again that I am not against the use of artificial intelligence or anything like that! And that is fine, it was created to simplify the task for people, but

If you get blocked and your funds CONFISCATED, it should be verified and not blindly trusted by AI! What I'm talking about is that they don't double check when you say it's a mistake!!! They say our program determined this and we believe it, but we don’t believe you, you’re lying! This is what I mean when I talk about manual checking.

As for c2c, the thing is that I wasn't offered to pass an age verification, as far as I understand, the account was immediately blocked...
(Author, correct me if I'm wrong)
That's my concern too. If I click "Broadcast myself", it says "please submit age verification documents". If I click c2c (i bought tokens), it let me open my cam. If c2c is the same as broadcast then why not say the same thing rather than putting a bunch of super small texts and say we violate ToS. It's pretty annoying when they banned and not refund the tokens. No warning and customer support takes forever to reply (assume you get a response from them).

A few years ago, I was banned for posting photos in PM which they say require age verification. I argued with them about the mentioning of that in the ToS and they stopped replying because it isn't mentioned there. However, now, I can post photos in PM without being banned and I was actually surprised. It seems like grey accounts do it all the time and they can't be bothered banning ppl for doing it? or am i just lucky?

@cbhours mentioned a good point. I think AI flag all accounts that do c2c without age verification then staff go through the reports and ban the one that doesn't have age verification. It may explain my acc got banned after 3 days of doing c2c.

Not sure if it was imposed by a live employee, although I could always be wrong. But the fact that you were blocked, and not, for example, restricted from using c2c, speaks for itself. If I understand correctly, you also cannot use other functions of the site?

The fact that they don't answer when you ask "what rule are you referring to" only confirms my assumptions about the "favorable interpretation".

For example, recently there was a discussion about a situation where a popular model uses large toys in her broadcasts (I don't follow her), but in general the rules prohibit this, and she is not subject to blocking because of this. But when other models ask Chaturbate if they can use something like this they get banned.

Also, when you ask why she does this and I am not allowed to, you get ignored. It turns out the rules are written differently for everyone, right?

But if I just showed something like that on camera (let alone used it), I would get a permanent ban. Without any explanation or possibility of justification! Now think for yourself.

That's unfair to have 1 set of rules for one but another for others. I think they might have cut staff because response time this year is quite slow. They seem to be happy with just banning without asking questions. They won't listen to feedback because a lot of people are still using the site. Once their users are gone, they will take action.

Btw, what's the difference between a ban and a permanent ban?
