Hey there

Had a question not sure anyone could answer. Does anyone know why when you go into some models rooms the default on cb is high but on others it’s really low. You have to manually change the settings to make it better quality. Wondering how to get that to be automatically a good quality stream. I use obs and cast in 1080 so the quality should be good automatically but it isn’t . Am I maybe missing something?

Thanks

It's probably automatically determined by wievers internet connection. If users connection (and device) is fast enough, quality will be the best by default.

I do wonder if it matters what server your connected to. They stream from edge1.stream.highwebmedia.com to edge334.stream.highwebmedia.com . The path your computer takes to any one of these servers could be different then the others, and if that path sucks, that could effect video quality.

If a stream is set to 30fps , 96 Kbps audio, 3 key frames, it's going to take less bandwidth. And it may be easier for a device to have the bandwidth to play the stream. BUT it's not going to look or sound as good as 60 FPS, 192 Kbps audio, 5 key frames.

but this is all speculation on my part.

From my experience that isn't always the case, I often have to change it manually to the highest resolution whenever I'm using my laptop, though my phone seems to automatically choose the highest.
