Hey gang,

I wanted to make a support thread for queer and trans* models. I'm not sure if a thread like this exists, or I couldn't find one anyway (for some reason every time I've tried to search something in the last few days, nothing turns up). I'd like this to remain a hate-free thread, so trolls should stay the fuck out! Yr not welcome. Go back under yr bridge. Please. It's really important that this remains a safe space for everyone.

Anybody that doesn't fit into the hetero/cis slot, come ooooon in. Allies, yr cool, too. The water is fine. Maybe full of sharks, but balmy as fuck and there's a bar over there if you wanna grab yrself a drink. Sober? We've got all the hot chocolate, juice, tea and coffee you could possibly ever desire. Cute babes? Check. Vegan cake? Check. Free puppies to a good home? Check. Hedwig and the Angry Inch playing on a loop? Check. Dance parties every ten minutes? Check.

I want this to be a safe space where we can talk about dealing with our sexualities and lifestyles both in cam world and in the "real" world, share info, act as a support group for each other, etc. I'm not entirely worried about being "outed" as a queer in cam world because it's easy enough to say "duh, I'm bi" and people understand. Pansexual trans dude...not so much. If you ARE worried about being outed, send me a PM and we can blab all the hell we want and whine about how gross Rush Limbaugh is.

I also created a queertranswhatevernotbeinginsensitivemodel chat room and you can PM me and I'll tell you how to get to it! Minimal hoops to jump through. Hopefully I can keep it 100% troll-free, but people might slip through the cracks, so I'll probably ask you to verify you're a model. Gender, or lack thereof, don't matter.

Muah,

Andrea

So crawl out of yr nooks and crannies, eh? There's still a bunch of Grand Opening cake left over and it's gonna go bad. You're all members of the Clean Plate Rangers club, no?

Re: Queers and Trans* models unite! Preeeeeeepare for takeof

I guess I'm considered pansexual, but I thanked your post because intolerance is dumb. The whole live and let live thing is awesome. :handgestures-salute:

Re: Queers and Trans* models unite! Preeeeeeepare for takeof

Here & queer! Woop woop!

Re: Queers and Trans* models unite! Preeeeeeepare for takeof

Pansexual here as well, but if you've got Hedwig on a loop & hot chocolate I have a great need to be here.

Another pansexual here.

That being said, I'm here for anyone that needs a supportive person around.
I am a good ear :thumbleft:

Your post greatly amuses me, as my sister joked about needing to hide her cook wear when I mentioned being pansexual.

Re: Queers and Trans* models unite! Preeeeeeepare for takeof

Hi! I'm bisexual. Or Pan. Haven't really figured out the difference yet but I seem to be attracted to all sorts of people, including trans*. I would love to meet some bi/les models on here just to chat :)

Re: Queers and Trans* models unite! Preeeeeeepare for takeof

Yay queer people! Trans woman here. Although I'm not currently camming/modeling, I hope to be soon!

EDIT: Just noticed that trans people aren't allowed in the models-only section - should I start looking for a less transphobic forum?

I think using transphobic might be a bit too hasty of a word to use. Amber designed this forum for MFC models. MFC does not currently allow anyone other than cisfemales (is that the right word? I'll be honest, I have no clue.) and most of the models only stuff is geared towards that or problems that can occur in only those born with female genatalia (like endometriosis, pregnancy or ovarian cancer, just throwing out some examples). Amber has worked really hard to make this an inclusive place for everyone and lots of ladies, and dudes or pick your gender pronoun preference, are working to add more information to the public section for other sites than MFC that can apply to cam peoples of all genders that work on the most popular and well paying camsites.

I'd HIGHLY suggest you stick around for a bit and get a feel for the place before jumping to any conclusions. There's LOTS of information in the public section and the forum is still broadening and adding to its shared information. There are lots of people here with knowledge about camsites and the like, that would love to share if asked. :) Good things take time and patience to build. You may also want to check out the Camgirl Wiki (I think that's what it's called), but I don't have a link so hopefully someone who does can jump in and help out.

Sorry if I've made any errors with my words. I can be pretty crappy with them sometimes and gender pronouns can be difficult. Typically I'd just say y'all to mean every living, relevant human.... :?

Edit: for typos and word choices.... I give up. If I've made a mistake or something, I'm sorry. It's been a long day and I'm starting to get really sleepy.

The problem is that trans people can't advertise, can't access large portions of the site (which seem to be regularly referenced in public threads, can't be verified as "real models," etc. That's extremely trans-exclusionary (also male-exclusionary, but that's slightly more understandable).

I understand where you're coming from but I know Amber has security reasons, amongst others, for keeping things as locked down as they are. Unfortunately ACF can't be all things for all people, so if you'd be more comfortable elsewhere I totally understand - but for the most part people here are cool & open to sharing their wisdom/experience, and we'd love to have you!

I highly, highly suggest checking out the Cam Girl Wiki at camgirlwiki.com for basic info, and like Rose said, lots of us are actively trying to add more info to the public section of this forum to help people of all genders. Especially if you make it know that you're a model, everyone will be happy to help.

The intention is to be male-exclusionary. From what you've said you haven't been a cam model for long, so you might not have yet scene the lengths that men will go to, to get into that "super-secret-ultra-magical-models-only" section. Girls have begun working very hard to create threads that will provide you with the information you need out here in the public section and there is also the wiki that Amber and other girls have created.

You can advertise, many unverified girls have in the past and no one has deleted their threads.

Please don't feel that we're being trans-phobic. It's simply that we need to keep the girls that this forum was created for safe and to ask Amber to verify trans-models and confirm that they are with out a doubt true trans-models and not simply men who have done a damn good job faking their way into the models section feels unfair and like a great deal of work for her.

Please be understanding, as this wasn't done to hurt anyone, but to instead do the opposite. :)

Re: Queers and Trans* models unite! Preeeeeeepare for takeof

It doesn't seem as bad as it originally appeared then. Thanks so much for the clarification there - I'm just used to a ton of trans-exclusionary spaces and it really frustrates me when something as seemingly progressive as this seems to also have trans-exclusionary policies.

Re: Queers and Trans* models unite! Preeeeeeepare for takeof

Honestly, I figured any cam person could use the advertising section to advertise. Isn't that what it's for?

As far as personal experience, there have been more guys that I could count who pretended to be trans to get free attention from me or tried to acquire special favors. It's sad and shitty, but it happens very, very often. I have absolutely no issues with someone who is actually trans (whichever way they swing), but fakers of any kind annoy the snot out of me and faking who you are doesn't earn you the right to a free show or video. That's just the experience that I've had with it anyways.

Take a look around, see how things are run. There is at least one trans model here, I follow her on twitter, so you're not alone and we're not *completely* exclusionary. :) You should find the majority to be welcoming, helpful and unphased by your gender. There will be trolls no matter where you go though so just ignore the vocal minority because they can speak loudly, though that goes for any person.

Only verified models can make threads in the "Models: Advertise Here!" section. Everyone else has to stick to writing on bathroom walls.

Super queer lesbian person right here.

Re: Queers and Trans* models unite! Preeeeeeepare for takeof

Queer (homoflexible*)/sapiosexual femme here!

I'm fairly new to discovering Queer Culture, and it's awesome. Suddenly finding yourself in a room of people who think like you do is an amazing experience.
(Double bonus is their also poly and kinky! hehe)
I've been attempting to femme flag the last few days, buuut no ones commented on it yet.

*While I do tend to fall for more masculine energies, it's not typically for amab humans.

Re: Queers and Trans* models unite! Preeeeeeepare for takeof

OHAI U GUIZE

I knew my fellow queers had to be hanging out here somewhere! I generally call myself a nondenominational queer, but I'll grudgingly accept the bi label if I must.

How is everyone doing in cam land by the way? I myself have been super slacking due to health stuff and trying to navigate the whole "I don't like penises but I don't want to alienate my audience" thing. Sigh. Personas are tough to master.
