I was surprised when I found out that it was defeated.
Due to the fact that there is a tremendous amount of prejudice towards sex workers, I thought that proposition 60 was almost certain to pass.

I think you are missing the point. The industry voted against it because it would have allowed performers to be sued and their personal info made available to the public as well as the person suing being able to collect a portion of the money from the lawsuit if they see a condom not being used. That would have made it so that stalkers and harassers could not only find out where porn actors, producers, and webcammers live but they;d be able to profit from their harassment.Glad this didn't pass. Could you imagine condoms in a porno? Almost as bad as burred out Asian porn

People use condoms in porn all the time. Hell, it was downright fashionable in the 90s and early 00s.
