Poll on possible new threads

I would like to break out these two topics because :

• *They concern all of us
  *They will NOT be resolved with the conclusion of the election

If the choice is to make one or more new threads, I'd be glad to start them off. But that part is not mandatory

The earliest I could get back to this or start a new thread would be tonight (actually Wednesday) approx 12-1AM PDT So let's get some votes!

I will say this: My point of view is that for things to improve in both topics, profit needs to be removed from the equation.

• *profit and private are not the same thing
  *profit is not the only thing that needs to change, but it's very critical

Well, my actual professional field/research interest IS on that list. I don't know what I would suffer more: either don't participate and feel impotence reading some of the arguments presented, or participate and feel compelled to write insightful/smart/non-trivial posts.

So, I'll stay with "to the hell with these topics"

For me, topics that are controversial in general are tough to swallow on ACF. I have found that my feelings about and opinions of some folks (who are otherwise quiet and likable) have gone downhill after seeing how heated and emotional they get over controversial subjects.

I know that many of you like to discuss these items, and that's understandable. But when a forum is centered around cam girls (whose job it is to create a friendly bond with people, or create jovial, light-hearted, and most times, sexual entertainment), it puts a little bit of a damper on things. Whether it be a cam girl who speaks against the general consensus about her feelings on women's rights, or everyone's favorite MFC member calling someone names because they don't approve of gay marriage, it creates an open invitation for feelings to get hurt, and otherwise happy "online friendships" can be tarnished.

Cuteness debate: puppies vs. kittens.

Kittens: Kittens frolic, tumble, and play with interesting things. They also are good at hiding and do that cute thing where if they are afraid of you, they freeze in place.
Puppies: Puppies fart and smell bad. They frolic, but they have a hard time standing so they fall a lot (may be possible extra cuteness factor, though). Also they always want to come in while you are getting laid. Kittens have the decency to let you get some without bothering you.

Winner: kittens, obviously.

Let me specify:

When anyone other than Jupiter or Bocefish gets all snippy, name-calley or whatnot, I do a face.

I still cringe when the two of you do such things, but I've come to expect it.
