Hello, I was recorded without me knowing and a video is up on [site name banned*12]. I emailed their admin and my email got rejected and sent back (meaning it never got to them, I don't know if it's a fake email or not). People I know have found the video. :/ What are my options here? How can I get it taken down?? Thanks.

You can send a DMCA notice but you will have to disclose your personal information. This info will be sent to the poster so they can file a counter notice if they wish.

If you were recorded on a camsite contact them. Do NOT give your personal information to the site that has the recording. Your stream is the property of the camsite from a legal standpoint so they will file a DMCA on your behalf. Good luck.

As lucyspoon said, your camsite will file the claim. But even in the event there isn't some cam site involved who will do that and you still wished to do your own DMCA, NEVER give your real info. Lie, utterly and completely.

The site that has your stolen video already know they are in the wrong, they will never take it to court or even contest a DMCA notice in that case. Ever. So there is never a reason to give your real name on the paperwork.

In the entire history of camming I sincerely doubt there has ever been one single dispute about a DMCA claim from the side of the site which pirated the stolen video. Lie.

The sad reality is that the many of these type of sites (tube/piracy/theft) simply ignore DMCA requests. They know there is no real threat of litigation or consequence, especially if they're operating outside the US.

A lot of tube sites are still US based so it's always worth a try to get them down if you want to put in the time. You can also get them removed from Google searches so dont listen or be discouraged by Gunner.

I've been in the industry for 16 years and had massive amounts of my content stolen/pirated and spent 10s of thousands of dollars fighting piracy with attorneys. I had RedTube try and come back at me in fact and spent $2,500 just for that silly deposition. Their case went nowhere. So needless to say, I feel pretty qualified to speak on the topic of piracy and how to handle it.

Misslmogen, you can simply email them, "admin@[site name banned*12]", using a DMCA request such as this:

Depending on the site your stream is your property. You would have to look at the contract if you signed one. If you didn't sign one, it's your property. Traditional copyright law gives the actual recorder of the images the copyright.

If you use a fictitious name, it is not a DMCA notice. That's the whole good faith clause. A DMCA notice missing any critical component is worthless.

The tube sites based in the US are then statutorily liable for copyright infringement. That's anywhere from $750-$30,0000 per infringement. That's why so many of them are moving out of the US. They are trying to run from the law like Gunner is saying.

Look, you may not like the answer but the answer is based in the law. I'm being helpful here and answering the questions 100% honestly. I am not lying and I take exception to be called a liar. A properly executed DMCA notice is signed under the penalty of perjury. (The one gunner provides is actually a decent letter.) You do realize what happens when you lie "utterly and completely" under the penalty of perjury right?

Have you ever heard of a DMCA letter getting ignored? They don't have to comply when a letter is obviously flawed and sent from SallyCamGirlXXX. They can look at that letter and say they lied on the DMCA letter and straight ignore it.

Now we can get into probabilities and the likelihood off success or counter noticing but the fact remains to execute a proper, legally binding DMCA notice you have to put your LEGAL name and contact info. I understand the hesitation to do this but simply because I point out a unwelcome fact does not mean it is a lie.

And if you don't think these things get disputed Google Malibu Media LLC v. Doe. Just as we call the Pirates porn trolls they call us lawyers copyright trolls. There are plenty of websites discussing the evils of both.

i understand your point, but I will never support telling girls to send out DMCAs themselves because their information could easily fall into the wrong people's hands.
