there are things a government could do to even out that playing field and providing opportunities to those who deserve it.
Playing devil's advocate: Who decides this?

There in lies the problem, and at 1:30 in the morning I am going to attempt to answer that the best I can- Have our elected officials assign those who will decide this and pray they take the time and effort to determine between the deserving and the lazy but I know that's not perfect in any way and no one will be happy because there will be some who don't get an opportunity would be deserving while there are some who will who'll take advantage of the system. But I believe that not everyone should be punished because of the few.

Nothing is perfect but how politics seems to be now is it is all or nothing doom and gloom we're going to hell in a hand basket, were heading to 1984, we're going to become a muslim china.

In case anyone missed this amazing speech last night, here it is. I am not a republican or even an American but if I were, he would get my vote. I have read what the media says against him, and found gaping holes and twisted meanings everywhere. He is, as he admits, dangerous. But America needs someone who is dangerous, enough of the good looking puppets in nice suits.

Nice replies... this is getting as bad as the lounge tards. Maybe Obama and his administration need to hear more of those words repeated to sink in. For being a Constitutional lawyer, he sure doesn't abide by his oath to support and defend the Constitution with his 2a voting record and Obamacare.

I guess you must have gone to a better constitutional law school than he did, since you seem to imply that you're an expert on constitutional law. :)

Seriously, the authors of the constitution never expected us to look for explicit wording, and there's nothing implicitly wrong with The Affordable Health Care Plan. My only objection to it is it doesn't go far enough. :)

I don't know what the President has to do with this thread, the OP title is about Ron Paul. Maybe start a Hate the President thread?

I never implied any such thing and there you go again twisting people's words to suit your own myopic and biased agenda. As for the authors of the Constitution never expecting us to look for explicit wording? I hope you're joking is all I have to say to that.

I guess that's why the Obama Health-Care Law was Ruled Constitutional by Appeals Court, huh? Go figure.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-1 ... court.html
I have an agenda? lol Now who's twisting?

Listen, when we listen to and read one another, we ALWAYS interpret. That's how we communicate in this world. One being makes a series of sounds or markings on a rock, piece of paper or computer screen and another being listens or looks and INTERPRETS the otherwise nonsensical sounds and markings via common language. It's just how it's done. Don't want anyone to interpret what you say? Don't say anything. Okay?

Only part of the Affordable Health Care Act is being questioned by the courts...courts run by Bush appointees...many of whom graduated from Pat Robertson's Law School. lol Sorry, I'll pass on that discussion. Maybe you want to push Orly Taitz at me and say, "see, he's really a Kenyan!" After all, she has passed the California BAR!

This is probably not a good forum for politics but I simply can't let Ron Paul rallying go by. He may be for legalizing weed and prostitution, but he also wants to take women's rights away with regard to control of their own bodies.
You have also been bashing every single reply since with little to no facts, just opinions.

BTW, you still haven't shown any proof that he supposedly wants to take away women's rights aside from your outdated opinion about what is "code" for keeping the federal government out of the decision.

Nah, no biased agenda there whatsoever, lol. I have a feeling SCOTUS will defer their ultimate ruling until after the election anyhow. Time will tell.

I said I have an agenda? WTF? lol What kind of AGENDA (list of things to do) does one have on a forum designed for interaction between member/pervs (us guys) and cam models? It's all about opinion, and yes I am biased. I have opinions about Ron Paul, yes.

What is "outdated" about believing Ron Paul wants to take away women's right? He's said it implicitly. He is against abortion but "...think it should be handled on the state level." Any issue that is so infused with religious opinion will very definitely take away rights if left to states. That's why certain states are said to be in the "Bible Belt."

And let me reiterate. Yes, I am biased; I have strong opinions. :) As far as "proof" regarding Ron Paul, I don't deal with proof. Proof is a word that generally only has a place in mathematics and courtrooms. Elsewhere, we deal with evidence and form our opinions based on the preponderance of evidence. Go back to page one of this thread and go to all the links I provided. There is my evidence.

Every state in the union is different, which is why each state has laws that are unique to them. For the record, I am personally pro-choice providing it is NOT used to replace birth control. I am also NOT voting for Ron Paul. I am debating your so-called "evidence" which PokerBabe has all ready basically nullified previously. If a woman in the Bible Belt desires an abortion and it is illegal in the state she lives, she has the freedom to go where it IS legal.

 Dueling dictionaries? I use American Heritage:

a·gen·da (M-j+nZdM)
n. pl. a·gen·das
1. A list or program of things to be done or considered: "They share with them an agenda beyond the immediate goal of democratization of the electoral process" Daniel Sneider.
2. A plural of agendum.

Uh, no, if a woman wants an abortion, she should be allowed to have one ANYWHERE in the US. What if, say, Alabama decided that if a woman committed adultery, she should be buried to her neck and stoned until dead? States' rights, correct? Yeah, I used an absurd hypothetical, but it makes a point. Where do we draw the line? My OPINION is that a woman has a right to the complete control of her own body, period, and no state, county, city or whatever has a right to infringe on that right. If we can't have a country where human rights are universally honored, we may as will break up into little clusters of states.

Not part of my argument but saying she can just go to another state is absurd. Many women are in life situations where they can't just go to another state. And if states are allowed to make abortions a crime, what's to prevent a state from imprisoning a woman or even executing her when she returns?

And no, I don't agree that my links were debunked. YMMV.

Oh, and thanks for the video. It's pretty unambiguous. Sen. Paul would make abortion illegal, and it's pretty easy to project the future of his proposed law... Nightmares in the making.

And what's scientific about arbitrarily defining "life" at conception? lol "Every sperm is holy..."

:) More words; not really more details. He's "anti-abortion," plain and simple and his tricky way of making it illegal is by classifying it as murder and leave it up to the states to enforce.

Tumors are alive too. And since they're human cells, should we make it illegal to excise a tumor? (No, I'm not saying anyone is suggesting this)

Ron Paul, in my estimation, is a train wreck and wants to turn the clock back...maybe to about 1200 CE.

So there's nothing wrong with obamacare? Really? How about the fact that if I don't have healthcare, I can legally get in trouble. Healthcare is a choice and it should not be forced, especially if someone cannot afford it. Have you ever worked in the medical field? I worked in the nursing field before camming and lots of nurses, doctors, patients and others are against obamacare and it is for a reason.

I just don't get why people worship that idiot, It freakin baffles me and makes me question the intelligence of my fellow American people.

Btw I'm all for the "hate the president" thread, It would be just lovely to discuss odumba and all his screw ups.

Get in trouble? Like how? And where did you hear this? And lots of doctors and nurses are for it. Personal politics exists among medical workers too. Were you an RPN? Anyway, no one is saying The Affordable Care act is perfect; few things are that are created by the hundreds of people that make up Congress. I expect that now that the law has been enacted, over the upcoming years, the act will be amended to get the weaknesses out of it. That's how it works.

I don't know anyone who worships the President. I know lots of people who seem to worship Ron Paul.

You keep saying this...but Isn't Barack Obama the man who will absolutely, undoubtedly, for sure be competing against a Republican candidate in this next Presidential election ? And isn't Paul a LEADING Republican candidate ? Seems somewhat related to me...

ron paul would either fix or ruin everything and congress would stop him either way. He won't even win the republican vote so everything is moot. Now I need a stiffer drink than just a beer. give me what Doc had from the third back to the future.

HEY!...Does anyone reading this feel prevented from talking about Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, John Huntsman and any other hangers on? Are you saying that this thread is just supposed to be a Ron Paul Bash Fest? Barack Obama figures prominently in why the Bunny Ranch took an action that eventually became a story. He's included & fair game too.

As an Englishman, my only contribution to this debate (that I actually find fascinating but am in no way in a position to make any form of educated comment about the American political system) is that Politicians will tell you exactly what they think you want to here and then it seems as soon as they get in power they drive straight to the centre and stay there
