HI, around March 29th I found my account banned. Account approximately 7 years old.

This is the story:
Late night, I make a purchase of 750 tokens for use with a model. The model, less than 2 minutes after my purchase, told me that it was late and she should have left.
Then I say goodbye to the girl with a bit of sadness and with the promise of seeing each other again in the future days.

I wrote to Chaturbate support (perhaps with too much emphasis and not in a moment of clarity): hi, I think I've been doing a bit too much shopping lately, I think I have a problem with pornography, I would like to stop for a while.

1 week passes from this message, and Chaturbate doesn't reply to me, so I think: "that's strange, okay I'll spend these tokens anyway" and so I did. I also made a second purchase after those 750 tokens and spent on the site.

After about 10 days I found my account banned and an email in which they said they had understood my problems and would permanently ban me from the site. and that refund was no longer possible as they had already been spent.

I replied to this email apologizing for the misunderstanding that my intentions were dictated by a moment of frustration and this was not the idea I had of getting banned from the site forever, but rather put a limit on my purchases. I also confirmed that my "pornography problems" are under control and are not a true pathological problem and that the refund is fine, I understand that it is not possible as it has already been spent.

after this email another 10 days of pure silence passed, no one ever replied to me. I tried to send another email but zero, no response.

I understand that perhaps I exaggerated in the email, but these were not my intentions.
Maybe I did something of stupid.
There was a big misunderstanding and I'm regretting it because I have a lot of friends on CB and I can't reach them anymore.

Is anyone able to help me? I don't know my ticket number but I know my account name is: kaboki

  • Sorry to hear that.

The severity of having an addiction is taken quite serious, and that is how it sounds when someone say they have a problem with something like pornography, therefor a permanent ban is the way CB deals with this in my experience, I'm not sure if they re-active accounts, but a lot of the time if there's a permanent ban on an account and their e-mail, support no longer replies to these and that might be why you have not gotten a reply..

I'm not sure if @punker barbie can help on this one, or if their policy is if someone has gotten their account closed due to this, they should not be on the site, because it would be TOO easy for someone with an addiction to come and say they can control it.. if you could just remove your limits like this, then the limits wouldn't really work in the first place..

I do hope you have it all under control and that it's not an addiction, but please do not lie to yourself because you might miss some models, best of luck

Hi @Wuggie ! I'm afraid you may be absolutely right. Well, I'll be really honest, I don't think it can get any worse than this.

At the time I wrote that email I was a little disappointed that I made a purchase but I couldn't dare them as I wanted (the model had finished her time). So unconsciously of the damage I could have done, I wrote that thing because I felt like an idiot, for having purchased but not used. We could say that the excitement phase was over. However, I believe that they have taken the issue seriously.

(rightly so, I don't blame them for this, on the contrary they are truly honored by their concern towards customers. Which I also expressed them in the email)

It's as if I "played with fire" due to my stupidity.

Well, I understand what you're saying and make sense, if an email was enough to fix it, it's as if the controls didn't exist and it would be too easy. However, I can confirm to you (even if deep down you don't care very much) it's not my case, I'm not addicted (fortunately), it was just careless on my part, and if this is the price to be paid, it will be...

I take this opportunity to apologize for disrespecting the entire CB team, and joking about a very serious addiction.

Thanks for your POV.

I'll wait for @punker barbie

Well thanks yes indeed, it is an identical case. It looks like that's still an open question. Do you have any idea how similar cases are resolved? I mean: in the end, is the ban removed or not?
I would assume it is in the site's best interest to not lift bans in these cases, you're a liability in a sense.

Exactly! I'm not feeling sorry for myself because I understand that the issue is serious, and I don't blame CB if their decision were to remain the same.

After all, I'm the one at fault. What I would like is just to discuss it with the support team and see how to resolve it (if possible).

Unfortunately, discussion with their "support" team rarely happens.
@manolito with 99% certainty you will not hear from support.

From their point of view your situation would be equivalent to an alcoholic asking a bar to deny him service, only to come back 2 days later and ask them to serve him again because he now has everything 100% under control.

You can do nothing to convince them, as I see it.

Well yes, what you say makes sense. However, I want to hope that, from my sporadic purchases, they can evaluate how my use is not as compulsive as if I were truly addicted to it. I mean, I think that in 7 years, just one month I ended up spending $200, it doesn't seem exaggerated to me to be considered as an addiction.

I want to hope that they understand that it was a mistake.

What do you exactly mean you can't have a discussion with support?

Obviously I don't know anything about you or your situation other than what you described, but it is possible that your initial instincts were good? It isn't so much about amounts of money but how the usage is affecting you and your life. At the least, the fact that you sent the original request to the site, asking them to ban you due to addiction, suggests you have some internal conflict about your usage of the site or with porn more generally. Perhaps you've had concerns that it's become unmanageable or simply that you feel bad about it sometimes.

Maybe some time away from all of this could be a good thing, an opportunity to reflect on it further? It's just a thought, I'm not trying to make any judgement.

Hi @manolito I have confirmed that the support team has responded to your inquiry Ticket #23206695
Thanks for the support although I am disappointed with the response I received.

I have two questions if possible:
- why now, does it take weeks to get a response? when should I wait, now that I have sent a reply ?
- I wrote a whole page to explain in detail, support responded to me in literally 2 lines.
- you (i mean your agency of course, not you personally) took my word too seriously, based on a hypothetical condition (as I wrote.. i said "i think i have") but did not give the same weight to my words that I say now. why?

I'm quite disappointed, I have to admit. I just wish I had my account back.... considering I can work around permaban very easily....

Just to complete the topic for anyone who will read it in the future.

When this happens, don't expect support to respond you. As long as you pay everything is fine, when you are out they will never answer you, I have a ticket open for 17 days. and I still don't get a response after 3 emails.

There is no dialogue, there is no point in trying to explain. It's a one-way decision and you can't do anything.

You will lose everything, even your contents that you have paid for or the private shows you have saved. You will have no way to access it. So you don't really own them.

In my case, they were not able to understand my email. For the sake of the truth what i wrote was: "I think in spending too this month, I would like to stop for a while", and then they decided to permabanned me for my "health". Absolutely bullshit because without even putting in the effort I managed to sign up again and continue shopping, so what's the point? Nobody, the only thing they're aiming for is to cover their ass legally, but they don't care about the end customer.

All you need to workaroud Is a new email, your seconds credit card (also with the same nane and surname LoL) or a new crypto wallet. No controls of any kind, just bullshit from their side.

What do I recommend? After spending 7 years on this platform, stay away from it. It's all good as long as things are good. As soon as something happens, customer support is non-existent.

If you care about your contents and your money spent, go against their fucking rules and download your medias purchased on your desktop.

I don't see a fucking reason why I pay and don't own what i paid. Internet is full of illegally recordings of their models and the problem would be me who paid to receive this video, and now I can't even have access to it? It's really ridiculous. Worry about piracy, not a paying customer. Idiots.

Having said that, I workaroud to demonstrate how false their fake responsibility is or concerns about my "health". When bypassing them is childproof.

I will turn away from this world, and I will take this ban as the end of a chapter of my life but if I ever want to have fun I will definitely prefer other sites with competitors.

Stay away from this platform and their "support' which doesn't support anything. LoL

You are unhinged. You don't own a goddamn thing because it's the model's content not yours. You are not free to do with what you will including downloading it to your desktop by illegal means. You wrote to support and asked them to put you on a limit and they did by banning you and creating new accounts to avoid a ban is also permanently bannable. You're the one in the wrong here, not the site. Deal with it.

^^^yeps

OP, another commonality between you and the gentleman in the prior, similar situation is your complete inability to take responsibility for your actions. it wasn't a misunderstanding, you stated to them you were spending too much and then requested a refund of your legitimate purchase. from the site perspective this is rightfully considered high risk behaviour. of course they didn't refund you as by your own statement above you later spent the tokens and then purchased more

when you wrote to Chaturbate, with "(perhaps with too much emphasis and not in a moment of clarity)", you initiated the whole situation. everything that followed was a consequence of your own actions

you have to own that, and your inability to do so is a red flag in and of itself

being a member of a website is not a right. I wish you well but respectfully, maybe take a break from the cam sites for a while

Sorry you are absolutely right in what you say regarding the content but what's the point of removing access to my content? should I stop jerking off for ever because CB decided to ban me? Will I never have to masturbate again? Bullshit, I never asked them to ban me, i ask to put a limit, not a ban. two different words with two different meanings. i sow that I support had problems of understanding the text.

I repeat and reconfirm, this is the solution that CB leads you to do. if I buy content it's because I want it to be usable when I need it. If you (i mean CB) with your fucking ban to shop, and also from what I purchased unquestionably without being able to reply, because in your Terms it is written that on your site you can do whatever you want at your discretion well then I'll act finding a solution that only matters to me.

Who is the injured party in this action? only the model. Who is the injured party of all hours records pirated and put around on some server? always and only the models. because CB is not responsible for anything the user does with malicious purposes even towards its models. The first one to not protect is the site itself. Let's not be surprised if a user learns that he will no longer have access to what he paid for, start it will start downloading everything. Do you find this equal? I won't have the right to download it and you're right, but I would like my right to access it, that's the conflict.

My workaround is to demonstrate how much bullshit those who write, not to return from using the site. which if I were really sick, I wouldn't have found any problems. Are these their security measures? Goddam.
