I would definitely be a fan of password shows, but can see where it would have its downside as well.
For example, when you don't meet your goal for the shift, what do you usually do? Say something along the lines of "thanks to those of you who tipped, sorry we didn't hit the goal, see you tomorrow." That would be an excellent opportunity to do something for those tippers, probably not whatever the goal was,but still something.
On the other side, I could see that reducing the amount some people would tip, like "even if she doesn't meet her goal, I'll still get a show out of it, so why tip so much?" kinda thing.

On a slightly related note, cams.com does have something similar, but with much smaller numbers than you would see on mfc. The model starts tipping chat, sets a goal, and once the goal is met, the screen blurs if you didn't buy in. Most of the time, the model has it set that if you tipped before the show starts, your buy in is lower.

Personally, I'm all for giving models and members more options and flexibility.

I'm not a whale, i'm not a high-roller. When I'm in the room of a model who's doing a countdown to a group show, I'm conflicted between helping her get to her goal and having enough to enjoy the group show later.

I've been a mod on CB for a model who used to do the tip a certain amount and get into the password show. And the option for her to give the password to the regulars who have been there night after night keeping the chat flowing and her mind occupied, well that was a nice thing. Many times she'd password the room and let her closest regulars and mods hang out and chat, off the clock as you would. Sometimes she'd ask her mods to watch her sleep: she hated sleeping alone in the dark, and being there made her feel better.

Certainly money is always the elephant in the corner, models who are always scraping by may not want to allow guys who don't tip every night to hang out in their password rooms. The model I spoke about above worked as a bank teller and used her CB money as more of "mad money" than grocery and rent money. But at least the model can make the decision for herself on who she is comfortable, trusts, feels respects her, etc etc.

I'd say one thing to do with a passworded room on MFC, would be block the cam feed, but maybe still allow chat; similar to how CB does the hidden cam app. One of my biggest turn-offs for passworded rooms on CB is showing up late, trying to get into the chat, and getting the "password=____" box show up; there's no other means to communicate with the model on that site. Maybe it would work better on MFC, where PM's and MFCmail exist.

I don't think MFC has motivation to create password protected shows. Because it gives models a way to collect funds outside of MFC.

A single password wouldn't work for popular models anyway. You give me the password. I then PM the password to every one.

This might blow some people' mind. But there are allot of people on MFC because the site doesn't act like a normal adult site.

It depends on how it is implemented. And to be fair, models always have had motivations to find ways to be paid outside of cam sites since the site's cut is relatively high, usually making deals via twitter/snapchat to be paid via paypal/giftrocket/gift cards/snapcash. But even with those motivations, most models still prefer tokens because that affects their camscore, which leads to more visibility and potentially higher income at a later stage.

A single password wouldn't work for popular models anyway. You give me the password. I then PM the password to every one.

While this feature is being called 'password show', it doesn't necessarily require passwords for its actual implementation:
- it could allow members to join the show if they tipped a minimum of X tokens that day, with X defined by the model;
- it could be be done by allowing the model to select which members can join the show (for regulars who are unable to tip in that day)
- and finally, it could be even really be a system where a password is involved.

In the last option, there's multiple ways you could still prevent leaked passwords from being abused:
- allow the use of a single password, but also require that the member be on a whitelist that the model controls. That way, only people who *should* have the password will be able to get in
- or make it easy for models to make passwords unique per user. That way, if a password leaks, A) the model can lookup who had that password and B) those who get the password wont be able to join the show anyway, as it requires being the right user to begin with.

Or mix all those systems together for maximum flexibility: if you have tipped a minimum amount, you get in. If you are on the whitelist set by the model (think regulars/club members), you get in. If you bought a ticket elsewhere, you get a password so you can get in.

MFC probable looks at features from a profit perspective. How does it make them more money. Adding, maintaining, supporting, server resources, features really do cost them money.

Privates for free is not a sound finacial transaction.

Privates by subscription on the other hand... But I think it's still fighting the nature of MFC. The whole point of it, is that a group of people is more profitable then taking a few people private.
