From Twitter it seems she's doing decently. I'm glad her surgery went so well. Well so good so far.

Hey Amber, I'm wishing for your total recovery. Rest well in the meantime.

Glad it's finally out! Hope the soreness subsides, and the nausea stays away.
Good luck!
I hope they diddn't break the giggle.

Sorry I missed this earlier. Thank you all. Trying to deal w the pain w no meds cuz they make me so sick so it's tough. Hurts more than I imagined it would. :(.

Once the air gets out of me I hope it isn't so difficult.

Xoxo guys.

Ps. All tweets n browsing r on my phone. Sorry if hard to understand.

Glad your doing OK and cant wait for you to come bouncing back!!

aww i know surgery sucks i hope you feel better sweety. i hate the feelin the meds give you but those pain meds usually kick ass. but staying awake and functional is not possible early week depending on what meds

I gave in and tried one Vicodin last night. Not only did it not help the pain whatsoever, it also made me feel sick, as expected. Fuck that! Tylenol and I are buddies right now. I think I may have slept a total of like 7 hours since I got home from the hospital. I'm so tired! Just can't get comfy to sleep. Mostly the pain when I lay down is from the stupid air that's still trapped in there. Also because I need to cough SOOO bad, but the top incision went right through the muscle that you use when you cough (or laugh) and I can't even clear my throat.

All I can say is there are so many little aches and pains that go along with this surgery that I never expected. Certainly the most pain I've been in in my life. Fortunately (well, unfortunately) it hurts like hell to cry, so I am keeping that to a minimum as much as I can. It's amazing. I think it may take me a day or two longer to literally get back on my feet than I had thought. I am barely walking around today, and not completely upright. I kinda walk like a hunchback troll for now. At least the nausea went away a few hours ago and I was able to eat a bit and enjoy the Dolphins game.

I watched 3 movies yesterday. Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant, Valentines Day, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. All were entertaining. Scott Pilgrim was pretty weird, but good. Maybe some day he will play a different character and shock us, though.

Thanks again for all the messages. It's really cool the few times I log on to see them. Oh and in case anyone may wonder, I'm currently ranked #96, so it's pretty inevitable that I will slip off the top 100 within a few hours. Going to have so much ground to make up if I want to finish in the top 50 for November. I may have a little incentive up my sleeve to round up some help. :) Details on that when I can.

I'll be back to check in here when I can!

Have you tried Tylenol with Codeine aka Tylenol 3? It's good shit, and it might work for you where the stronger stuff doesn't.

Will also probably make you pass out sleepy. I had some of those when i almost broke an ankle a few years ago and that's how i was able to sleep through the pain.

Vicodin/Opiates cause a histamine release (this makes you itchy and nauseous), next time take 2 vicodin (I'm assuming they are 5/500's) but also take some diphenhydramine (aka benadryl, 25mg should be enough) it'll keep you from getting nauseous but it'll take the pain away. So long as you don't exceed 4,000mg of APAP (aka acetaminophen/tylenol) a day you'll be fine.
otherwise just send all the painmeds to me

Poor thing sounds miserable hope it doesnt last long sweetie and the surgery is a success and you never have to deal with it again.
