I gave in and tried one Vicodin last night. Not only did it
not help the pain whatsoever, it also made me feel sick, as expected. Fuck that! Tylenol and I are buddies right now. I think I may have slept a total of like 7 hours since I got home from the hospital. I'm so tired! Just can't get comfy to sleep. Mostly the pain when I lay down is from the stupid air that's still trapped in there. Also because I need to cough SOOO bad, but the top incision went right through the muscle that you use when you cough (or laugh) and I can't even clear my throat.
All I can say is there are so many little aches and pains that go along with this surgery that I never expected. Certainly the most pain I've been in in my life. Fortunately (well, unfortunately) it hurts like hell to cry, so I am keeping that to a minimum as much as I can. It's amazing. I think it may take me a day or two longer to literally get back on my feet than I had thought. I am barely walking around today, and not completely upright. I kinda walk like a hunchback troll for now. At least the nausea went away a few hours ago and I was able to eat a bit and enjoy the Dolphins game.
I watched 3 movies yesterday. Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant, Valentines Day, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. All were entertaining. Scott Pilgrim was pretty weird, but good. Maybe some day he will play a different character and shock us, though.
Thanks again for all the messages. It's really cool the few times I log on to see them. Oh and in case anyone may wonder, I'm currently ranked #96, so it's pretty inevitable that I will slip off the top 100 within a few hours. Going to have so much ground to make up if I want to finish in the top 50 for November. I may have a little incentive up my sleeve to round up some help.
Details on that when I can.
I'll be back to check in here when I can!
