Hi everyone!

I’ve been working as a webcam model for a few months now and am thinking of expanding to OnlyFans. I know many models here are on the platform, so I’d love to hear any advice you might have.

I understand the competition is tough, and standing out can be a challenge. That’s why I’m considering working with an agency. So far, I’ve had interviews with two matchmaking agencies, which will help find the right one for me. Both mentioned that OnlyFans takes 20%, and then we’d split the remaining 80% half-and-half.
I know there is also lots of scammers… What should I pay attention to..?
If anyone has any advice or can also recommend a good agency, I’d really appreciate it!

Thank you 😊

What makes OnlyFans profitable and popular is the 80% payout. You will get 40% if you sign up with the agency.

What exactly is this agency offering? Are they editing your content or helping maintain your account? How do they plan to market you? A lot of these agencies are virtual pimps imo. Expoitable Andrew Tate wannabees.

In my opinion, the only time it’s worth it to work with an agency is if you have such a huge following you can’t realistically handle all the messages/admin work on your own.

I had a friend who worked with an OF management company. They handled essentially every single part of the account and their models just supplied them with the content. They created Reddit, Twitter, etc profiles for their models and advertised for them there. Responded to all the follower’s messages. Posted their content. Basically everything. I’m not sure what their cut/rate is, but honestly, if you don’t have a massive (I’m talking thousands of followers) following, I don’t think it’s worth it. Everything they’re doing, you can also do, without giving away half your income. And the models who do have that huge of a following, I’m pretty sure they’re hiring people within the industry (like other models/people who have actively worked in the adult industry) to help them with account management.

Plus, I think having autonomy over your content and online persona is important. You don’t know 100% how they’re going to advertise you or brand you, and it could be done in a way you don’t agree with.

Everything above and also going to point out that members are well aware that agencies doing all the account work is a thing now and can generally tell that it's not you making the posts because it's the same copy paste messages and scripts they use with every model they manage, the page will have none of your personality and may be very different from your brand. Remember when any site or agency boasts about how much other people are making, it's either bs or that's just what the top creator is doing and not in any way an indication of what you might make.

If you want to go ahead, make sure it's an informed choice and ask them for specifics on how they will handle marketing and your brand. If they cant provide you with the basic information of how they are going to make it worth you giving them a % then they arnt worth giving a % to.

start solo. Utilize the audience you’re already bringing. LEARN the platform.

While you are learning you can decide to reinvest in paid promo (instead of paying a % you chose when and how you allocate this budget) and you can learn more about agencies so that if and when you do decide to go with one you’ll have a deep understanding of the business you are trusting someone else to run. Or perhaps you’ll be like me and other models and you’ll HIRE instead.

It is very possible to hire experienced page managers and content managers and sexters who will work on comission, to help you! But you want to be the boss not them!!!

Agencies are MOSTLY a racket.
