My friend who has been apprenticing me to be a poker dealer, just came over and told me the craziest shit.

His wife went into labor last night, and with not enough time to make it out to the hospital, he delivered a 6 and a half pound baby girl in the bathroom of his apartment. Apparently, they didn’t even know she was pregnant until like a month ago. It’s rare, but sometimes women continue to have their periods several month into their pregnancy. (My mom did when she was pregnant with me actually.) Plus his wife is a big girl, so it’s not like you could really tell by looking at her that she was pregnant.

Is that crazy or what? I used to watch that TV show called “I Didn’t Know I was Pregnant” on TLC all the time, but I never would have thought that something like that would actually happen to a close friend of mine.

Well anyways, sense this was so unexpected, they were totally unprepared. They have almost no baby items, and they are on a very fixed income.

I set up an Amazon Wish List for them, so if anyone would like to help out my very good friend and Poker Dealer Teacher by getting something from the list, as my way of saying thanks, I’ll give you LIFE TIME membership to my Private Blog “My Secret Diary” absolutely FREE! (If you already have a membership to my blog, then I’ll make you a 10 minute custom video instead!)

Name of the Wish List is “Miracle Baby

Well then I guess the title of this thread was right then?! LOL

Stuff like this does actually happen. Truth is stranger than fiction.

This happened to a fried of mine actually, so maybe a lie, but doubt it I mean why else would she be giving away stuff for free for baby stuff...unless...omg Poker! You secretly adopted a baby! (Or it was you that had the baby girl the other night)

Hahaha naaaa... my baby making days are over.
u know if the nature of my job wasn't porn related, I would have posted a picture of the baby too. So that kinda' sux. I knowI would have loved 2 see a pic of Rose's baby, but I know it would be waaaaaaay too inappropriate 4 her to post any.

A while back I wanted to start a 'What you looked like as a kid' thread here in the general area, but I realized it's probably not allowed.

I used to doubt it too. Then I saw it happen to someone I knew. It does and can happen as unbelievable as that may sound. (I've never seen the TV show)

Congrats to the parents and the new baby!!!

But we didn't say that this phenomenon can't happen.
It can, but that don't make that story automatically true.

Something like this, over the internet and not knowing the person directly, you can never tell for sure about anything. So I always rely on Occam's razor; whichever is the simplest answer is usually the truth.

Poker Babe basically stated two things.
1) That a friend of hers had a baby without even knowing she was pregnant up until a month ago.
2) That she's set up a wishlist with items to help out that friend, and if anyone wanted to help she would give access to some of her personal material in return for that generosity.

You just stipulated to number 1 above so I won't go further into that.

As for the second item; what other motive would she have for doing that? I looked through the wishlist items. There are no vibrators, expensive electronics, lingerie, or any thing else adult related in any way. It's filled with everything one would need for a newborn. From car carriers and swings to baby socks and newborn diapers. I doubt Poker Babe has a use for such small diapers herself. So I can only conclude the wishlist really is for a newborn baby.

The other half of number 2 is whether or not it's for a friend or not. I don't know what reason anyone here would have to lie about that. If, and i say IF, Poker Babe had a child herself, or it was really for her sister or other relative, she could just come out and say that too. The result would be the same. People might still be interested in donating for that. There's no advantage, or angle if you will, to concoct a story like that for the purpose of getting these wishlist items.

So going with Occam's razor, the simplest set of circumstances is exactly as she posted.

Wow, that's really rude to accuse someone of being a liar especially without any proof. Think what you would like, but calling someone out on it is just a rude thing to do.

I agree with everything that Jerry has said. There's really no advantage to lying in this situation.

It's ok to post a wish list but it would be better to say just she needs those staff and if somone could help with no more stories.
That title and the whole post make me feel she thinks we are stupid.

Why you don't wrote as title of the thread, something like: '' here is my wishlist for friends who really need them for their baby, please donate'' or so.?

No, she does not think we are stupid and why would she make a wish list with things on it for a baby and then offer her content in return if she was lying? It makes no sense. You are the only one to question her motives. Things like that can happen and do happen. If she was scamming people, she'd just be begging for the stuff and not offering anything in return. Let other people believe what they want to, the only thing you have posted is accusations of her lying. NOT COOL. Poker has been quite honest numerous times. As far as I'm concerned, she's a trusted member of Ambercutie forums and she has been here since long before you came along. She is a frequent contributor to the forum and I believe her. If other people don't that is their choice, but why keep calling her a liar over and over with each new thread post you make? We get it. You don't believe her. Your choice.

I have a private tumblr of pictures of just Spawn's face for those who want to see him. Just message me privately. :)

As for being pregnant and not knowing it, yea it happens. It's what happened to my first three pregnancies, but they obviously didn't end as happily as this story did. Certain medical conditions and body types make it very easy to have absolutely no clue that you're pregnant until it's too late. It's pretty rude to call someone a liar about something like this. It can be pretty jarring to deal with the situation as it is, but adding on that people think you lied about it is just the bullshit cherry on top. I wouldn't go making assumptions about stuff like this, especially if you've never experienced it.

If she had at least an other title at the thread i would have not comment it. The title is misleading for take the attention. :hand:

When i saw it i said: OOOH WHAT? WHAT HAPPENED???I HAVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED!
and when i clicked and i read it, i was like :? ok she just try to atire the atetion for a whish list.

A Bee, when I first read your post, I thought you were joking. Like, just going along with the title of the thread. But, you really don't believe her? Have you not come across her past posts all that much? I might not agree with everything PokerBabe has said on this forum, but I've never read anything from her that would lead me to think she's lying about this. And I've read many many things from her that make me inclined to believe she really would do this for a friend.

It's not like she's a brand-new model who signed up just to post this. She's a valued member of this community, who has demonstrated many times her loyalty for her friends and generosity towards those in need.

I guess I'm just having trouble understanding where your doubt comes from. Is it just a normal "don't trust anything you read on the internet, even if you think you know the person" doubt? Or do you really not want to believe that someone might do a drive at her workplace and hangout to help a friend in need?

 Yeah, the point of making a thread is for attention. You could have made your comment and not looked at this thread again. I think you are the one wanting the attention. I am not going to argue semantics with you any longer. Thank goodness for the ignore button. I won't waste anymore time on you. I can't see shit.

I'm probably missing something here but how is this situation comparable to those on that show? First post says she knew for a month. I thought that show was about women who go into labor without knowing they were pregnant. Not sure what is so shocking or unbelievable about a woman who knows she is pregnant giving birth. Still awesome that you want to help them.

Bee, the reason for the story is because it's important. If her friend had known about the pregnancy for several months, she would have had lots of time to set aside money and resources to provide for the child and the actual birth/delivery, which is hugely expensive in the USA. Having only one month to prepare not only for the medical bills, but the time off from work and all the necessary items to keep a baby alive and comfortable means that this is most likely a very stressful time for them. Very few people are lucky enough to have that many thousands of dollars ready to go at a moments' notice.

Ahem... back on topic. :p

What kinds of things do your friends already have? I checked out the wishlist and many of those items can be bought second hand at thrift stores, and sometimes there are people even willing to give away many baby items for free. If they're on a fixed income they should be practicing their penny pinching skills! And other items like diapers can be bought for cheaper at Wal Mart, without having to pay for shipping and such. To save money on baby wipes, they can make their own. There are tons of tutorials on youtube for homemade baby wipes (like this one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQc33ALhhos )

So I hope that can help a little bit and you can get back to us with a little more about their baby set up. :)
