Today, a couple of hours ago, i did a private show with a model. I double checked that recording is available. After checking it, i entered the private show with her. Sadly she had a very bad connection. So i told her if she can restart her broadcast and i will enter the private again. The restart didnt take longer than 10 seconds. I only recieved the recording of the first part, not of the second part after rejoining her private. She told me she didnt change any settings. But she is surprised that i recieved a recording of the first part at all, because she only offers recordings on premium private shows. After some research i found following description to premium private by chaturbate itself:
"Premium private shows are a new type of private show that doesn’t allow other users to spy. All other private show functionality should be the same as regular private shows.
Premium private shows allow you to charge more for an exclusive experience without needing to change your settings. The new Premium private show settings can be found on the “Settings & Privacy” tab, where you can set a price per minute and minimum minutes. Premium private shows have the same options and settings as regular private shows."
So either there was indeed a technical issue which gave me the recording and also labeling it for me as "recording" available despite her toggling off recording.
Or she indeed switched the the settings within the 10 seconds before i rejoined into her private.
Somehow it leaves a bad taste of trickery, either by cb having technical issues or by her intentionally switching setting within 10 seconds while i rejoin without communicating it.
Since it was in total a 1 hour private, it was also a lot of tokens. Still i would prefer to have the recording restored than having a refund, because doing a private with a recording was my intent.
