I love Ghibli with all of my heart and I've been so excited about this game!

Hopefully I get to play it soon, it's nice to hear that it's good! Did you beat it? How long did it take? I would love to hear more about what you thought of it! :)

Haven't beaten it yet. I really don't feel like I'm that far at all really. But the story and art are amazing. Saying too much about it might ruin some of the story elements for you though, so I'll refrain until it's been out a bit more.

Ermahgerd ermahgerd ermahgerd :-D

I just got it today (got to the shop a minute before they closed and found the last copy ) and I love it. It's made of weapons-grade squee. I love the animated cut scenes, I love the game animation, I love Drippy, I love that it's an unashamed PSOne era Final Fantasy homage (Turn-based battles! A world map! NPCs! Towns! Dungeons! Upgradeable spells and equipment! Levelling up with each battle!). I just love it :-D

A few hours in, it turns into Pokemon. I'm 14-16 hours in, now, and it really only got hard when they finally introduced a second party member. Keeping track of her health was hard the first few fights with her in the group. Thank god your familiar health is your health, in that case. Only one person to heal.

Yeah, getting used to TWO party members was a bit of a throw off. I haven't played much lately, but now that I read this, off to play more.

A member bought this for a gift for me months before release, and I'm pretty sure it's the best gift I've ever got. I'm in love with it. If I would have realized how much I loved it, I would have bought myself the collector's edition, instead. I think I might have to go check ebay for a Drippy plush and a copy of the Wizard's Companion...

I simply love this game! :) It's very very Ghibli and very very Miyazaki. :) I love Ghibli so much that I made my hubby go to the Studio Ghibli Museum when we were in Japan even though he hates anime and kids movies. He's so blackhearted haha! :evil5:

I haven't beaten Ni No Kuni yet.

I have to ask.. do you play with it in Japanese with subtitles?

I was, but when I finally switched it to English audio all the characters sounded so strange and unfamiliar so I had to switch it back, haha.

it is supposedly ~130 hours. Haven't playedin a while. 4th boss requires some grinding I am unwilling to do right now. Also in game gridlock. Too many to play, can't choosr which to focus on.

Gahhh, it's amazing. Beautiful game. I only wish I could have gotten the collector's edition. The strategy guide is a real help with all the familiars and alchemy. The only real difficulty for me came from the game withholding abilities from you (teaching you All-Out Defense and Attack well after gaining extra party members). I took a break to play Metal Gear Rising and God of War Ascension, but I'll be devoting my time to Kuni now :D

I want to get excited for this game, but I have not seen any of the movies. I just refuse to pay $30.00 for a d.v.d anymore. I also don't have a PS3.
