Hello everyone!

I didn't see any rules against this type of post, so here goes:

I recently started my own webcam site and I need some help with it. I'm not necessarily looking to advertise, but I will leave my links around. I'm just looking for general support.

For models:
Would you think about joining a new, no name cam site? I know it's hard to trust something like this, but without that initial group of models, the site is going no where.

For users:
Would you be interested in joining a new site, even though all of those other ones already exist?

If you're interested in checking it out, the site is called ErotiCams69.com
Models can register here.

Thank you.

Hey there, just a quick suggestion for ya.

I would put some info for potential models up somewhere available for them to read without signing up first. I quickly scanned the site and didn't see the info.

Information like how the models are paid, how often they are paid, at what rate they are paid, etc.

And information for members as well. Is it a tip-based site like MFC, or more private/group show oriented like Streamate.

Welcome to the boards.

Personally, I would never join a brand-new camsite. From a model's perspective, a newer site generally doesn't have any sort of traffic/fanbase, and the little bit of money I *might* be able to pull in from the 5-10 guys who have heard of the site isn't worth my time or energy.

Think of it this way: If you were looking for a new job in your field, and a Fortune 500 company offered you a position with guaranteed hourly pay (plus potential bonuses), but you also got an offer from a new company that promises that they'll totally be able to pay you in the future once their business grows, they just need you to work for free for a while to 'get the brand out there' and promote them... which one would you choose?

There are lots of camsites like yours that pop up now and again, and I hate to say it, but becoming the 'next big thing' in webcamming is nearly impossible. I would suggest that rather than focusing your energy on building up your entirely new camsite from scratch, you go the white-label route with Streamate, Chaturbate, or Naked.com. Lots less time and effort on your part, bigger payoff, and the models are already there without you having to recruit them. Make a Twitter/get some ads on other sites advertising your white label, and BOOM! Revenue. ;)

I would join a new camsite if I trusted the people running it, felt it added something new or necessary to the cam world, and felt it aligned with my values. I wouldn't sign up for some random camsite, but if a fellow camgirl started a site or if a site popped up that I felt filled a void and showed a lot of respect for models, I'd join. Most new sites are just a mess of empty promises and stock photos. I like the idea of more competition in the market so I'm stoked when new sites open but they're rarely run by people with any knowledge of the industry or respect for it, it's just random dudes who want to make a quick buck. For the right site I'd spend some time despite low traffic, although I think new sites should pay out of pocket to hire some hot, personable models to work for them.

Either way your site looks very bare bones - no info whatsoever for models or members. I wouldn't join that.

A single model is showing as being online. When I click her picture I end up on her profile where I see a broken picture (it's not displaying). Clicking her display picture, name, and bio all take me to the same sparse profile. Is it necessary to have 3 buttons for the same thing? Also how the heck do I get into her room? Do I have to sign up just to see models? If so, I think that is a terrible idea. I'd say most guys are not gonna invest time or money if they cannot have a preview.

What in the world is the "nasty words" category?

I also recommend changing "boys" to "guys." Somehow boys just has a creepy connotation.
