I'm getting a bit frustrated with the recently adopted tipping interface. If I am in a private message chat with a model and I tip her, the interface is kicking me back to the public chat tab and I'm having to manually select the "private" tab after each tip to get back to the conversation.

I've never seen that behaviour, but then again I always use the "/tip [amount] <message>" chat command in both public and private unless I select something from the tip menu.

I'm using Windows 10 64-bit with the newest version of Chrome.
When I click the tip button, the tip interface now displays where the chat pane was, and as soon as I tip, it displays my tip in the public chat window and I'm having to manually reselect the private tab after each tip.
The above is what displays when I click the tip button.
This is what I see after I send a tip.

You always need to be in the PM tab and click the "gift icon" to send the tip privately
If you click the "send tip" option as in the above, that will be why it takes you to the public tip. Make sure to click the "present/gift" icon.

Maybe working as intended now, but prior to this change, the tip dialogue appeared in a popup and the tip showed in the private chat pane along with my messages with the model. Now the entire chat pane is being hijacked by the tipping mechanism as shown in my above screen cap. Prior to this change, I could tip while in the PM tab and the tips would display there.
This is how it used to display. It's not doing this after the change.

Ok I understand what you mean, I had never clicked the send tip one while in the PM tab, I always used the "gift icon" in the PM tab, because I always assumed it would work the way it does now.
But it does also make sense to do it your way, where it sends in the PM.

Yeah, prior to this change, if I was in the PM tab the tip would show both there AND in the public chat tab without kicking me out of the PM tab. I rarely use the "gift" icon to tip because private tips will not trigger a "tip menu" message in the public chat if I'm tipping for something specific from her tip menu.

This happening to me too. I have already accidentally posted a private message in public a few times, which can make things awkward for the room

This has happened to me as well. I realize they are trying to make the site better, but this recent change in the tipping interface needs to be fixed or reverted back to how it was before.
Hopefully, @xChloe or @Charlie_SC will see this post and understand why this new tipping interface is so annoying.

The issue isn't about adding comments with a tip.
The issue is with sending tips using the "send tip" button while in the PM tab. If a tip is sent using the "send tip" button while in the PM tab, the tip menu interface is causing the chat window to default back to the public chat tab instead of back to the PM tab. Prior to this change, I stayed in the PM tab with the model and our conversation continued as normal.
Since this recent change, if sending a tip using the "send tip" button, users can inadvertently send a private message to public chat, while thinking they are still PM'ing with the model in the PM tab.
