hi guys really after some advice please just brought the Logitech c922 webcam can anyone advice me of what’s the best screen size to have with chaturbate please I do have obs but havnt set up yet I worry that members can’t see me properly lol there’s so many settings for widescreen I’m totally stuck thanks all

I think those options are for resolution, not screen size. I have an HD webcam, but I couldn't get mine to stream in HD without the picture sticking, so I just played with the settings until I was getting over 20 frames per second. I ended up having to stream at the second to lowest resolution (I think it was 600x something). I'm combing the forum now to see if there's any way of fixing that, but if I don't find anything I'll make a post.

Chaturbate has a helpful setup guide for OBS. It includes recommendations for resolution given your upload limitations. Do a couple speed tests to see what your upload ACTUALLY is, because ISPs are dumb and variable. Find where you sit and go from there. I've found that using OBS improves the stability of my broadcast over using the in-browser functionality. Even if Chaturbate goes all wonky and my chat freezes, my stream keeps doing its thing because the broadcast is independent.

Tonight my browser took a big ol dump but once I got it sorted, my viewers said that my fps never dropped below 30. That means you can restart your browser if necessary, but also that you cannot rely on closing your browser to stop your stream. Gotta remember to hit that "stop streaming" button in OBS itself.

Thankyou can I ask what device you use laptop etc mines a hp i3 Pavillion but I have been told to try a MacBook or a i7 gaming as my laptop is struggling now with cpu

Ahahahahah about my setup... I use a seven year old 13” MacBook Air that is prepared for liftoff at all times. Camming with her requires a cooler, if I don’t want her to explode. Laptop coolers are underrated and if you aren’t using one I’d definitely recommend trying it. Even though my rig is old and sad and combustible, I can still run 1080x720 at 30fps through OBS. That’s not super brag worthy, but getting classified HD and holding a steady stream is really helpful.

I’d like to upgrade this year but I’m lazy and dunno what all I would want out of a new setup. Right now my compy and my internet speed is fairly well matched, so I’ll probably stick with my setup until one of the ISPs in my area stops being an asshole and starts offering better speeds. Don’t dump a ton of money upgrading your setup if your upload is what is throttling you, double triple check what your true limitations are so you can upgrade accordingly. Even a fantastic compy can’t forcefeed a shitty connection.

Fab thanks for your response yeah iv treated myself to a go i7 and runs like a dream very happy right now Apple are awesome I have an iPhone 7 Plus and Air iPad love them when I’m earning enough might get a MacBook they last forever
