That's nuts!

Also I noticed my Topic box is bigger. Like, it takes up the whole size of the chat window. But they still didn't make the character limit longer. Maybe they misunderstood our request in the email, heh.

"She said longer topic character limit... maybe she means the box?!"

XD

I dunno, maybe they're trying to prevent mass spam or advertising, but it's not like I've seen that happen before.

I've already contacted support, they asked me "how many MFC mails would be sufficient for you?"

Now what I wonder is if they're willing to up everyone's message limit, or are just going to do mine (assuming they are.)

Now, I've told them fifty, so we'll see what happens.

Seriously I use MFC mail a lot throughout the day and check it every half hour >_>

Edit:

Yeah. Apparently they did it because of spam and phishing. However, um, I don't ever see any of that. They are going to increase it in two days or so.

Also, they expect us to use PM's during this time rather than MFC mail.

Hey guys
Just wondering if it'll be bad or good as I do talk to many different ladies & I wonder what it'll be like as I can wait it out if needed. Will always support you guys in any way I can & know that it's good to just be ready for anything

being able to only send 10 mfc mail a day is bad mmmkay

I don't know a lot about MFC mail, but I am more than casually familiar with regular email.

What you might want to suggest to them is to:
- Can you send a MFC mail to more than one user? If so, limit the number of recipients per message to say 10 or something. Some mail systems also store a message only once when it is sent to multiple people, which saves disk space.

- Instead of limiting the number of messages, consider limiting the frequency of the mail. For example, only allow one message per minute or five minutes or so. If anyone is trying to use your system to send spam this will cramp their style.

- While annoying, use captcha technology to verify that each mfc mail sent is actually being sent by a real person.

- Consider using a blacklist technology to block hosts known to send spam from connecting to MFC.

- If they are using Apache to serve MFC , the module mod_security could also help stop some spam.

- Have them take a look at this : http://code.google.com/p/owasp-development-guide/wiki/Introduction
