Hi

I have a bit different situation. I am a photographer and will be doing live webcam photoshoots with different models on my new chaterbate webcam. So I want my webcam room to be running good before a model comes in. I cant have downtime or learn on the spot. And any question to chaterbate takes two days and rarely understood my question. I spend a month on one question. I am registered and age verified, any model will be preapproved also.

I have webcammed years ago but on different site.

Right now, I want to make sure I can be found!

Today I turned on my webcam for the first time and logged in. The room said I was broadcasting. I used a second computer (not logged in) and could not find my room. I used advanced search to find my name, no good. I found/made a direct link to my room, entered the link and found/saw my webcam. I even madeup a different username and sent messages to my room. OK, so I thought good, I am on now (?) I went back to the main page, searched and still could not find myself or find me under my hashtag. Is this normal for new people? Maybe I have to show a face to chaterbate for a profile pic to be taken and then I am broadcast? My cam was on, but just pointed at a lamp, lol.

Also, two items
-I cannot click bio to edit on one computer. weird. All the other tags work, like statistics, etc.
-When logging in, I was not asked what category, man, woman, couple I wanted to broadcast. I have only one name in my account for now, so maybe it just guessed man? How does that change when you have 2 or 3 people verified for your room?

If a person experienced with chaterbate wants to help me and send ideas, thanks. It would be very great if I could talk in an email, schedule a realtime chat or Skype with someone for a few minutes, log on and the person could try to find me or help live. But I know that's asking a lot.

UI know once I get broadcasting I should do fine. I just don't want to look like an idiot with a model, equipment and broadcasting to nowhere because no one can find/see me.

UPDATE: OK I found my room. Because I am registered as a male, my room was under men. I was doing advanced search under women. It does make a difference what category you are under when you do advanced search. I will be posting a follow-up question under a different thread.
