Hi babes! I'm Lady. I'm brand new to the world of web cam modeling. I just joined MyFreeCams and am still figuring it all out. However I did my first public chat and had lines pop up that said a user had sent me tokens. A few different times. But I didn't see them change in the side panel where there's some sort of token chart. And when I went into my profile to check my token stats there was nothing there. How can I tell if someone has really given me a token? Will it automatically update on the side? Do I have to close the chat in order for the tokens to go through? Sorry for all the questions but the site doesn't help much. I'd appreciate any tips. I have a screen shot if needed. Thanks so much ladies. xoxo

It might have been someone posting a fake tip using an emote and trying to take advantage of the fact that you're new. Did you also hear the tip noise?

When you receive a tip it will be highlighted in yellow and if you have your computer sound on, will make a "jingle" type noise. If you spend a few minutes watching a few other model you'll see lots of live examples of this, but here is a screen shot of some tips.
Also, the tokens will automatically update in your "total tokens" as tips are received. It sounds like someone may have just typed "so and so tipped 100 tokens" to scam you. I'm sorry if that happened.
Spending some time watching other models as a guest is a good way to sort of feel out the community, and the basics of how things work.

Also, always make sure to look where you are posting on the forum in the future so that it shows up in the right category. You put this topic under "video games" where it would have been better suited under the "General Camming discussion" section.
