I thought it might be fun if we all posted our types! Predictions on others' types may be fun as well? Now, a true MBTI assessment costs $50 and upwards and are evaluated by a psychologist (http://www.myersbriggs.org/my-mbti-pers ... nstrument/). However, there are multiple free online personality tests that provide a similar "typing". Try to take a few different ones on different days to get a true perspective of your personality type. It may vary day to day.

When you go through the assessments try not to type yourself on the answer you WANT to give. If you get asked "Do you act spontaneously?" don't answer "yes" because you WISH you were spontaneous. Be honest. The types are wide and no one will know/get to see your individual answers.

Without sounding stereotypical (I'm really just curious!!!), I wonder if the majority of models are extroverts and the majority of members introverts.

Here is one: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp

For this one I scored ENFP / ENFJ (the p and j were too close to call - Extravert, Intuitive, Feeling and Perceiving or Judging).

http://similarminds.com/cgi-bin/newmb.pl

For this one, I typed ENFP. However, for the E or I I was split at EXACTLY 50% - and most of the others I'm usually around a 60/40 split. So, I'm assuming, I'm either bi-polar or very well balanced!

I can see why you say to take it on a few different days. There were quite a few questions I could have gone either way on and may have chosen differently in another mood.

And some of them can be answered in the negative for 'other' reasons than they are looking for.
The question 'You get pleasure from solitary walks' I put no. Nothing to do with solitary moments but because I don't like walks! Yet I know that contributed to the percentages in the wrong way.

That's true. Like on many standardized tests, some of the questions are open to interpretations that the authors probably didn't think of. The results can vary depending on what you take the questions to mean.

I have taken Briggs Myer several times the results are pretty consistent. INTJ but I am reasonably close to an E.

ENFJ
Extravert(1%) iNtuitive(38%) Feeling(25%) Judging(11%)

You have marginal or no preference of Extraversion over Introversion (1%)
You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (38%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%)
You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (11%)

Not surprised about the introvert/extrovert bit.

As far as the OP's thoughts, I would not surmise that the majority of models are extroverted. Most of the models I know are actually very introverted. As far as members, I think the sampling pool is too varied to really tell - I would actually guess that extroverts are more likely to seek out and engage sex workers. I recall that when I started watching webcam models, I was much more introverted, and the experience left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and anxious. In fact I still find it difficult to watch models if I'm feeling particularly introverted that day.

Edit: nvm

I got

INTJ
Introvert(100%) iNtuitive(12%) Thinking(75%) Judging(44%)
You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (100%)
You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%)
You have distinctive preference of Thinking over Feeling (75%)
You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (44%)

INFP

You have distinctive preference of Introversion over Extroversion (67%)
You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (38%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%)
You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (11%)

accurate enough i guess.it fits with other professionally administered tests ive taken. interestingly though people who meet me tend to think im an extrovert until they get to know me lol. apparently im polite and friendly enough that my natural inclination to be solitary isnt detectable if you meet me in a public setting

I got:
ISFJ
Introvert(56%) Sensing(1%) Feeling(38%) Judging(44%)

Honestly I'm expecting models to be just as introverted as members, if not more so. I know that a number of us love doing this because we can work at home without dealing with the social anxieties of a normal job.

what does the perceiving over judging part mean?

Edit! NVM did some more googling... and that parts definitely right for sure

Not sure what to make of this

Pretty typical for me. Always comes out INTP or INTJ with just one or two questions making the difference.

I agree with Evvie that I'd fully expect many cam models to be introverted. It seems like the ideal job. You don't have to interact with anyone else except on your terms. When you've hit your limit you have the option of calling it quits for that day. If there's someone you can't or would rather not deal with you can ban them. You never have to worry about dealing with crowds on public transportation to get to work, with coworkers you dislike, with sucking up to bosses... It's all very social, but you're always in complete control.

Some people confused introverted with shy. While there are certainly many people who are both, that's not necessarily the case. I am extremely introverted, but I don't have social anxiety. There are definitely times where I choose to be fairly quiet and observe a social situation rather than actively participating in it, but that's just me enjoying things in my own way (and gets me labelled "bitchy"/"stuck up"/"snobby" because since I'm not necessarily anxious I often have pretty confident body language). Other times I can be just as outgoing as anyone else and enjoy myself while doing so, the difference being that it will probably tire me out more quickly than an it would an extrovert and I'll need to go home to recharge.

I always get this result... So, it's not just the energy drinks making me outgoing?

Hmmmm... interesting. I always feel like I am skewing my own results by answering really similar questions differently just because of slight variations in wording--but I guess that's the point? I don't know lol--but if it has Jung in the title, I'm in!
