or your identity gets outed to your room.
I always assumed that the reason was fear of being disowned by your parents.Hands down, it's the fear of being recognized by somebody from the area you're geoblocking. Two things can happen, basically. Either you get outed to your "real life" social circles, or your identity gets outed to your room. I generally feel the latter would be much, much worse. I don't give a fuck about the people I knew when I had a facebook, but it'd be genuinely dangerous if somebody malicious who knew my real identity came in and outed my legal name and/or location.
That being said, I don't geoblock. I'm careful with who I'm social with, and only a few trusted individuals (like, 3) know my actual location, name, and job. That way, the most likely bad thing would be somebody knowing 2/3 of those things. But it's a risk we all take when we turn on the cam. Geoblocking isn't a fail-safe, it just mitigates some risk.

If my parents saw my porn I would be the one asking questions as to what kind of depraved folks they areI always assumed that the reason was fear of being disowned by your parents.
I heard that geoblocking can impact your income.
Geoblocking will not really impact income if your'e only blocking your'e home state. There are tons of other countries/states. Blocking 1 will not really impact it that much.
they don't really. They just allow you to filter the models you see on the homepage by their region. This is for some guy who's decided he's only going to watch camgirls from a specific country. Or maybe someone who wants to avoid camgirls from a particular country. People have their likes and dislikes. It's a camsite. It's for people to find what they're into. Why does MFC give members the ability to geoblock?

Bingo! Not everyone in chatrooms think about a model's stance on their privacy. The member could be totally clueless and say something like "Hey remember it's me, we went to *insert high school*"
Members can geoblock their profiles.
Is your dad religious? My dad has a job in internet crime- he takes in computers from crime scenes and searches them. While he's in a different state, that's a damn good reason to block.
Has he stated that? Not at all, still not something he want's to see his little girl doing :/
