Okay, time for some totally useless chat trivia. What is the meaning of the "monkey me" emoticon on MFC, which you can access by the tag :mme? This thing drives me crazy as many models seem to use it all the time and no one seems to explain its use well. I'm starting to think what it really means is the person has nothing to say but really likes monkeys.

Here is Monkey Me:

Okay, except it always seems to get used right after someone makes a super serious point.

Viewer: "Wow, I am getting audited by the IRS!"

Lol

The appropriate use. is something like
Viewer: You are so sexy.
Model : mme

in this context it means
- "yes with a a certain amount of pride."

There are other contexts - "who's seeing the big movie this weekend?"
:mme doesn't exactly fit, but its close enough.

:msad is obviously the appropriate response to a viewer conveying bad news.

Is it possible multiple conversations were occurring at once and the model was responding to a different thread? Cause otherwise I'm going with either English as a second language, Emots as a second/third language, or the model is a space cadet.

Okay, that is a complete answer thanks.

I think she was not in the right place to receive a serious idea, and she was blowing me off.

I've always wondered where those lil monkeys came from.

The monkeys are named Yoyo (the boy monkey) and Cici (the girl). They're from a Chinese tv show and became popular as emojis on yahoo messenger back in the day as I recall. More info here and here (the second one is translated from Chinese).

They're my favorite emotes on MFC. :h:

omgomg. this is amazing. I always wanted to know where they came from.

here's episode 1 of a series of 1-2 minute cartoons, you'll recognize a lot of emots as you go through.

The only way this could get better is if
1. I could find a US shipper of the stuffed animals or pillows.
2. The costume i found on ebay was better and available in adult sizes.
