Models getting upset at ninja/anon tips.

Hi! New to ACF but a long time MFC member. Most of the time I stick to my same handful of favorite models. Once in a while I will stray and visit a different model's room that I am not familiar with. If she was cool, funny, or entertaining then I leave her an anonymous tip. I tend to tip anonymously until I become more familiar with the model. I've done this twice the last couple of weeks and both models got upset. In fact one of them said don't ever tip her again. She said anon tips were offensive. I tend to think I tip generously and I'm sure my fave models could vouch for me so I don't think it was because it was the amount of the tip. So I guess my question to the models here is: Do you find anon tips offensive? I'm sure this sounds like a stupid question but I'm just confused. :?

I've noticed the same behaviour with some models, but not all. My guess is that some models have had poor experiences with members who tipped anonymously and then behaved god-knows-how badly.

I really hate anon tips, but not for the reason you may think! I like to reward people who tip. So when people tip "just because" I shove things on them, like sending them videos or giving them dirty talk or whatever. If you're anonymous, there is no way I can reward you! I never get mad, though. I just gush my appreciation and say that if you want anything, send me an MFC mail with a screencap of your tip history. The only time I even get jokingly mad is when I know the tipper is aware of my hatred for them and is only doing it to tease me. I just hope nobody walks in on it and misunderstands haha. I think it's pretty obvious but now I'm overthinking it! :lol:

I don't know why anyone would view it as offensive... It's one of the nicest types of tips, because you're expecting nothing for it. Maybe they think you're ashamed to tip them or some silly bullshit like that?

My last show anon tips made up a really good percentage of what I made that day. I don't hate them or object to them but it would be nice to know who they're from so I can say thank you. I really appreciate them and I really want to thank them personally, that's all.

but i can understand why people tip anon. Specially if you want to tip big at your first time there, you dont want the model to follow you after.

The only time that an anon tip bugs me at all is when I think it's one of my friends/regulars and they're just teasing me. It makes me DIE of curiosity! Same as Natalia, I really do like to personally thank people who treat me so well and give them any goodies I have in return. So I end up spending time doing detective work trying to crack the case. :lol:

You're certainly a very sweet and generous member, so I don't think you were possibly rude to her. It blows my mind that someone would be downright MAD at getting a generous tip!

If it is a lot, the mystery of it does kind of make me very anxious...but only because I want to give credit where it is due and send my thanks. If they continue to not say anything then I don't think any model should actually get upset, I mean either way, she's getting tipped well, and more than anything she should be happy about it...but like I said, I think it's only natural for a model to at least wonder who is being so nice. :twocents-02cents:

I'm the same as Natalia, I sometimes worry that I'm not rewarding a person enough, or I'm rewarding the wrong person.

Once about a year and a half ago I was anon tipped 900 tokens. I had one regular in my room but I didn't think he had tokens and he didn't claim it when I asked. A dude had been chatting in my room and he said it was him, implying he'd like to be added my my friendslist. So I did, he promptly asked me what more he could get for the tip, as it was ninja I asked how much the tip was worth, well, of course he didn't know and continued to try and manipulate me into thinking he did. I obviously banned him, told my regular about this, and he said he hadn't realised I'd asked and admitted it was him. Situations like that suck. Of course I wouldn't give out content to anyone without proof, but it sucked having someone so shamelessly trying to take the credit for someone else's tip. That tip had made my day when I'd first got it as I'd been feeling pretty down, the way that dude acted definitely dulled the excitement of the tip.

Have I ever got angry at ninja tipping? No, of course not. Tips are tips. They're awesome! I would always like to know who it is so I can shower them with gratitude, but knowing isn't essential. Usually I'm pretty sure it's a regular doing it. Sometimes members I know ninja tip me and seem to assume I know who they are. Thats sometimes kind of awkward.

Sounds like an ungrateful so and so, why would anyone have a go for being tipped? I work on SM and sometimes a member will tip for no reason, im grateful and really appreciate any tips i get

Thanks for all your replies and honesty. Everyone's different and I guess it was that model's perogative to get mad.

Gween hit the nail right on the head, though. When i was an MFC noob, I would tip a model well in public.
When I logged in again at a later time within two minutes I got hit with PM's by models I tipped. I don't mind PMs at all but as soon as I logged in every single time I would get hit with them. They kind of made me feel like I was more of an ATM machine then a person. So, I stopped tipping said models and their nasty side came out so I had to block them. Lesson 1 learned.

Even when I don't anon tip, I tend to ninja tip. Even to my fave models. Again, I used to public tip but when I did I would get PM's from members and even models asking why I would tip that much to the model I tipped. :? I remember this happened in Amber's room when I was fairly new. I tipped her and a model then PM'd me asking why would I tip Amber that much? Then she would try to lure me away from Amber's room. It pissed me off. I felt like I was being stalked because the model wasn't even in Amber's room... Lesson 2 learned.

Anyway, TL;DR: thanks for the replies, ninja tips / anon tips 90% of the time = me.

As a model, anon tips kind of bum me out because I feel like I can't properly express my gratitude.

As a tipper, I prefer to ninja tip over anon tip. That way the person I tipped can thank me, but the room doesn't see it and nobody knows it's me. I keep my member name private for that reason too. Hopefully that makes sense, haha.

Anon/ninja tips can be used by members for different reasons....a few months ago(it was a normal,quiet night in my room) i started to get anon tips(always in the tip note was a rose),small amounts but any tip is welcomed.Same the next day and the next.... It turned out to be a guy that was new in my room and he was just trying to get to know me before telling me that he was the tipper.He is now one of my fav regulars and he always puts a rose...no matter how much he tips

I think it depends somewhat on room count and whether you suspect it may be someone new. Doesn't the model software tell you how much you have earned from a particular user if you click on their name? For some reason I thought it did, could be wrong though.

It does, but it doesn't include anonymous tips. It used to, but that was likely an oversight on MFC's part because they changed it.

I've had some problems like this in the past with other members,so I reluctantly locked down my PMs because of it (it's helped a lot. I figure if someone wants to PM me, they can MFC mail me and I can add them to my friends list). I occasionally ninja tip just to be more discreet, and rarely tip anon. For me, it just depends on the situation.

I agree with PlayboyMegan-I'll gladly take those tips too! I love all tips-whether they're one token or 1000 tokens, anonymous or not. The only reason I can think of a girl possibly being offended by an anonymous tip is if it contains a mean tip note or if she feels the tipper is ashamed to tip her publicly. Seriously though, tips are tips and all tips are great!

There are lots of reasons why a member might tip anonymously. Could be another model on her premium account who wants to tip and doesn't want to take attention away from the model in her room, could be a shy member, could be that the member doesn't want to appear to be showing off, could be the member wants to relay a private message in a tip note that he/she doesn't want the whole room to see, could be avoiding annoying questions from other members/models asking "Why did you tip her so much?" (like it's anybody's business why anyone tips anyone else a certain amount anyway.)

That last part especially bothers me when people are nosy like that. Reminds me of when I was dancing in strip clubs. When I first started dancing, my first club was in a very small town in Wisconsin where the customers were notorious for being very cheap. It was like pulling teeth just to get dollar bills from these men. Once someone tipped me a $5 and another customer asked him "Why did you tip her a $5?" He said "Because she deserves it!" LOL

I only get mad about an anonymous tip when it's accompanied by a request for some content. Then I get mad that I'm supposed to fulfill a request but I can't because I don't know who is supposed to get it. Being submissive, I hate being given orders/requests that I can't fulfill, especially if it's physically impossible to fulfill it.

I don't mind them. The only time I might find them annoying is if I think it's one of my friends and I can't figure it out. Of course I'd like to give an anonymous tipper something in return but if my gratitude is all they're looking for then that's cool too

Maybe they're mad that they won't be able to track you down later. It's an odd thing to get upset over.

I was watching Natalia from lounge and sent a ninja tip cause I was enjoying that look into the cam thing she does... can't remember how much I tipped but the next day I got a vid in my mail... was quite unexpected

I never anonymous tip. Because, you know, I want credit for tipping, from the model (not that I expect anything). Now I will ninja tip. For various reasons.

The unwanted PM issue is easily rectified by setting PM's to friends only.
