If this is the wrong place to ask, then I'm really sorry. Im totally new to the whole webcam modelling thing and I just wanted to know if it was considered a "no no" to model on multiple sites to see what I like best. Id probably dedicate myself to one place once I found the right fit. I'm currently using Livejasmin and was going to try a couple others, which I hear have a better commission. Just looking for your thoughts,
thanks :h:

Trying multiple sites to see which fits you best is a great idea, just make sure you're following the sites' different rules about naming and contact/info sharing. Also, it's not a great idea to "split-cam" while you are trying to learn a site. That means airing your stream on more than one site at a time... it splits your attention and you won't get the full benefit.

It seems to me that MFC's software often makes a bad connection to model cams, perhaps limited by speed at the moment the connection is made. Splitting-cam between sites seems to make connecting to MFC with a good speed much more difficult. Turning the cam off on MFC when going Private on other sites, to avoid going away for prolonged periods and hurting camscore, requires that re-connection to MFC to be made much more often. I'd suggest split-site models need to watch their MFC connection speed like a hawk, and to try reconnecting to MFC once or twice when it's low -- that can fix it sometimes.

As a member on MFC I only get an indication of a model's connection speed (Excellent; Very Good; Good; Average; Bad), but models do get a precise measure in (KB per second iirc). I'm not sure what range of speeds are covered by each indicator, but 'Good' is not good. For a decent picture on MFC I think it really needs to be in the 'Very Good' range.

Thanks for the advice! From what Ive read lurking around here it seems everyone likes MFC a lot, so I'll be trying that one.

I'm a skinvideo chick, and I will give you a few reasons why I love it so:

 80% of what you make is yours.
:p Lower traffic can seem really bad, but considering I get less trolls because of such, I find it a win/win.
;) The site is still growing, so whenever you have a suggestion, they are willing and ready to listen.
:) Kathleen (she's the one that helps you out!) Seems to ALWAYS get back to me within the same day (unless its weekends, she doesn't do weekends)
:-D Camscores are scary and confusing to me. I'd rather not have to even have to THINK of it, like I do on MFC. On skinvideo I can hang out for HOURS.

Like everyone else has said, try your hand with all that seem interesting and awesome to you. Some that work awesome for others may not work best for you.

Good luck!!!

Yeah, camscores seem like something I wouldn't want to deal with. I like livejasmin's interface because it seems so straightforward, but the commission seems so low =[ I guess the benefit there is it's popularity? I'll check out Skin Video, thanks for the advice =]

Its def a good strategy to work on different sites, not at the same time thou.
Especially due to MFC's nature, its good to have a back up plan in case of sucky days

plus it helps to shake things out a bit and try different grounds, and expand your possible fan base :)

But research is key, read/search a lot in forums about sites you are interested in before signing up, so youll avoid scams or shitty percentage and know the right strategy for each site and find the ones that could work best for you.
