Is anyone playing it? Anyone finished it? Hating it? Loving it?

I'm about three missions from the end (plus a bunch of Side Ops). I don't know what to think of the story yet (nor do I know how much story is still to come). The game's main problem for me is the way it forces you to replay missions you've already beat but on Extreme difficulty, in order to progress the story. Some of those missions are impossibly difficult and cease to be any fun, and it feels like the second half of the game is heavily padded. Other than that one (fairly big) gripe, it's one of the best games I've ever played and even though I've already sunk 100+ hours in to it, I'm not ready for it to be over yet.

Been playing it for over a month and I'm a little over 60% completion. The game has it's flaws, but I'm still enjoying the hell out of it.

I agree with your complaint bob about having to replay previous missions in chapter 2 just with an "extreme" difficulty setting. But one of my main complaints how little interactivity there is with Mother Base, by the time you're finished building it, all there is to do is knock your staff around, play target practice, get an occasional cut scene and gawk at Quiet in her cell. Supposedly there was going to be much more to the game than what we have in the "finished" product but it seems Kojima's falling out with Konami hurt the game more than we thought it would or he just got lazy.

Been mostly spending my time in free roam trying to recruit A++ to S+ soldiers to replace my A+'s, gathering resources to finish my FOB, hunting rare animals as well as doing side ops to develop more weapons and gear and replaying missions to get S ranks and complete all tasks. Been wanting to try out Metal Gear: Online but I've heard it's horribly unbalanced and and is plagued with lag so I'm hesitant.

***SPOILER ALERT***
All in all, I'm slowly creeping up to Quiet's departure and I've been delaying it as long as I can. Still on the fence whether I want to put the butterfly on my emblem to keep her forever or let her go so I can attain 100% completion.

I haven't even completed all of the side missions, but I've already completed the single player campaign which is a very huge letdown. And the fact that they had to cut out an entire chapter just leaves me angry at Konami because the story doesn't even feel finished. Sadly, the falling out between Hideo Kojima and Konami played a huge role in this.

And I'm indifferent with Keifer Sutherland's portrayal as Venom Snake/Big Boss because they didn't give him a whole lot to work with. Just a very lackluster game unfortunately :(
