Usually somewhere between flippant and glib.
This has been mentioned before, yet felt it needed it's own topic for better coverage. If your cam room looks like it hasn't been picked up or cleaned in over a week with piles of clothes and other junk or garbage all over the floor, it's probably effecting your potential earnings. We're not talking about things needing to be sterile, but at least try to make it look like you don't live like a complete slob.

This image has been posted around here before, but it's totally relevant.

A bit of clutter or whatever is fine, but obvious trash and sloppiness is distracting and a turn-off to me.

I tend to prefer a clean room while camming. I don't mind watching a room with mild clutter, especially if it's camming-related clutter, as that's bound to happen with messier shows.

On the other hand, I sometimes get on CB while cleaning and do a hangout/tips for flashes show so that I'm slightly less bored, and therefore better able to focus on my task.

If I see a girl's room and it's very messy, yes that turns me off a LOT.

I have SO MANY empty water bottles on my desk though. I've talked about this with models before and yes, we can be pretty messy. But if a model doesn't at least do enough work to keep the mess out of the frame, it comes across as very lazy...

I don't mind seeing some clutter or untidiness on cam because it kind of adds to the cute "teehee I'm just a cute girl who spontaneously decided to turn the cam on in my bedroom" vibe. As long as it's untidiness and not uncleanliness which would be like, garbage. A space that looks lived in, cool.

But for some reason it grates me when it's messy in videos. That seems more deliberate and to me it's a bit lazy or unprofessional that you expect everyone to pay for this but you couldn't shove your dirty clothes under the bed.

I don't expect anyone's room to be spotless. But the least anyone can do is have containers for trash & dirty laundry. Keep that stuff in one place, not all over a room. Whether they're a model or not. Cleaning is so much easier when you only need to do a little at a time, rather than hours of it later.
See so many models complain they didn't get on webcam or shoot photos when they wanted to, because they allegedly just had to clean one room first & it took them hours. :snooty:

And if you have hairy pets, you can try keeping an extra sheet over the top of a bed when you're not using it. Sometimes it works, better with older animals.

Seeing anything messy stresses me out.... :?

That said, I have hooks for clothes in my bathroom next to my mirrors, and I feel like it looks messy when I take selfies. It bothers the heck out of me because it looks so messy in the picture, but it just looks like hung up clothes off camera. The only time I leave clothes on the floor, especially for a picture, is when I've just taken them off and want to make it look that way.

Personally it turns me off. I dont mind if some things are a bit unorganized, but its hugely distracting if theres a mess going on. One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone cams in front of something that may be organized and tidy, but is visually overwhelming - like in front of a huge bookcase or something filled with DVDs, or in front of a wall thats covered in posters. Especially if their lighting is set up in an "average" way where everything behind them is lit just as brightly as they are. My ADD kicks in hardcore and then I end up paying far more attention to what posters/DVDs she has.

I think a lot of guys are the same way. I used to have a shelving unit thing next to my bed and it was filled with knick knacks, toys, and DVDs. I ended up moving things around just so I could take that shelving unit out of the frame, and when I did - my room traffic spiked, and the amount of people who stuck around increased.

THIS! Im actually in the process of re-arranging my place because the layout means the only well lit spot has my entire apartment as the backdrop -.- Yucky even when its clean!

Also want to pipe in about messes, especially clothes all over the floor and garbage. NOT hot. It comes off like the girl is sloppy and doesnt care - which is very unattractive.

I kind of love seeing a clean apartment as background. I like the depth, you feel like you see more of who she is, and I am also just a giant nerd when it comes to people's houses. :shifty:

Jessi - I dont think that having an entire apt in the background is a bad thing! I also agree that its enjoyable (as long as its not mega cluttered or messy) because its a deeper look at the girls personality and interesting, and as long as its not crazy busy, the distraction should be minimal! I would suggest that you put a lot of effort into making it a visually appealing and cohesive design though, which way be more work than youre looking for.

Is that where you live?! Not judging... but for fucks sake, dear! :? I aint saying yo shit has to be perfect (on or off cam!) but woah man. Woah. Take 10 mins to try and do something - even 10 mins at a time will make some serious progress. And youll feel way better. And I vote that creepy disembodied baby doll head is the first thing to go...

I def prefer a clean cam room/apartment/home blah blah blah

It is incredibly distracting and annoying to watch a girl in a gross room.

It bothers me even more in videos.

Despite all of this...my room is usually messy.
