I need your help ladies. I can't wear drugstore mascara, I've tried every brand and they all irritate my eyes. No big deal, I can wear fake lashes right? Wrong. I've developed an allergy to duo and two other kinds of lash glue.

Higher end mascara doesn't usually affect me negatively, so what do you recommend to get me the closest look to falsies? I've tried too faced better than sex and ysl doll eyes, is there something better? I hate the idea of spending so much on mascara but it makes a big difference on cam.

Thanks

Mascara does make a big difference. I have very sensitive skin as well so I feel your pain. Have you tried Sumptuous by Estee Lauder? It's pretty decent. I prefer it over Better than Sex by Too Faced which has always seemed too clumpy for my tastes. Keep us posted on if you find any winners!

I'm also allergic to latex (fun, I know) so many lash glues irritate my eyes/eyelids terribly. *Duo and a few other brands do make latex-free lash glue*, but it's never as viscous nor as reliable as the original formula. It's why I rarely wear false lashes - really, just for cosplay/photoshoots without my glasses. False lashes with glasses on are a NIGHTMARE of the lashes brushing up against the lenses and driving me nuts.

My personal favourite is They're Real by Benefit. It works like a dream when paired with a pair of eyelash curlers. Fair warning though it's quite tough to remove!

Oh! Joanne (above) is right! I recommend curling your lashes for sure - here's a tip: use an eyelash curler but first, warm it up with your hair dryer for a few seconds and then, just like with any hair, it will be a better curler when warm. Eyelashes are just coarse hair! They'll curl just fine when warmed.

As for removal: Try Makeup Forever's Sens'Eyes ( http://www.sephora.com/sens-eyes-waterproof-sensitive-eye-cleanser-P171101?skuId=920462 ) it's gentle, won't hurt your eyes, will take off mascara, and works for removing ANY MAKEUP. I know - I've used it to remove body paint before!
