Hi there! My name is Kavita, and I'm a graduate student doing dissertation research on digital labor, sex, and intimacy.

I'm looking to speak with cam models, or those who are in some way related to the adult camming business, to learn more about your experiences in this burgeoning business. Anything you tell me will be kept confidential and your identity protected.

I'm not trying to put down what you're trying to do as you're relatively new and may not understand how the forum works but this is the 3rd thread you've made in the past year on exactly the same subject saying pretty much exactly the same thing. You got some really good responses last October and I think several pm's which it sounds like you didn't get back to until April. I have no idea if anyone interviewed with you back then, but I'd recommend keeping everything in the thread where you originally got good responses from and actually partaking in some of the aspects of this forum.

A large amount of things here you are looking to learn about are probably already here on this forum. 40-60 mins is a long time to ask a camgirl to skype with you for no payment. That sort of time would cost a member $300+, I know you're not asking for sexytime but at the end of the day time is money for camgirls so though it might not seem like you're looking for much it's actually a very generous act for some of the girls to offer you this, it's quite unprofessional to ask people this a year ago and then ignore offers (I'm not sure if this is what you did but going by your 6 month late response apologising for not getting back to people I'm just assuming). Remember for a lot of camgirls being mucked about will make them more wary. We're already a wary bunch with shed loads of people trying to scam us for free Skype time left right and centre so taking time out of our days is already a risk. Unless you're offering to pay the correct amount you are asking for a favour from strangers. Treat us in the same way as you would any other professional.

I'd recommend if you are interested in this world to post some of the questions you're interested in knowing answers for and allowing girls to respond to what they like in their own time (one on one is quite intense). If you want to go the extra mile then try becoming a model and get yourself verified on here, the models only section has a lot of information and more models will be happier sharing outside the public and when they know for sure that you are actually female and aren't just a random dude looking for free skype time and information. I'm not saying you are, but reassurances are always good.

Thanks so much for your response, IsabellaSnow. You're right - I don't know much about appropriate conduct on the forum, and I should have kept this to the original post. For anyone who is reading and feels the same way, I apologize for adding clutter to your forum.

As for your other concerns, I did end up interviewing several cam models who generously offered their time. I believe I followed up with everyone who showed interest (if I didn't, I'm sorry!). I understand if my posts appear erratic. I was still taking classes and completing other projects this past year, but I am now pursuing this project as part of my dissertation and will seriously consider your comments regarding my role in this forum and the cam modeling community.

I'm looking for more interviews now and agree that talking one on one adds to what appears on the forum. Unfortunately, as a grad student I don't receive research funding and cannot offer much compensation. I mean no disrespect and any time anyone can spare is much appreciated!
