That's an American Big-nutted Brown squirrel; I believe it's Latin name is Amercano Giganti Testiculous tree rat. Anyone got a world cup score?

I feel like 3 or 5 years ago this whole thing wouldn't even have been a discussion topic. :?
I'm not sure if you mean that in the way that people weren't so quick to freak out over shit, or in the way that trans stuff wasn't as much of a topic back then. Or maybe both?

Things have gotten pretty out of control with "activists" acting out in extreme ways for people they think are oppressed or being discriminated against, and I think it does the people they're "fighting for" a disservice. Sort of like this interaction

This entire conversation is disgustingly transphobic. Equating genitalia with gender is transphobic.

You are saying that lesbians date women.
Correct.

Do you know what trans women are?
WOMEN. AMAZING. INCREDIBLE. GOOD SHOW, OLD CHAP.

Trans women are not some magical alien concept. They are real actual women.
IF this Lily Cade person intends to make porn with people with vaginas, SAY THAT INSTEAD.
Do not say "women only" and then proceed to shit all over an entire population of women.

I am very disappointed in the transphobia going on here.
Though I don't agree that someone should be accused of having some shameful "phobia" for running her business as she sees fit, I do understand where this view is coming from.

I still think people have gotten way too sensitive, and that people are just way too quick to become offended for someone else.

This is.... a really gross way of thinking. "People have gotten way too sensitive", like good golly gosh y'all how dare marginalized and oppressed people speak out in defense and support of themselves and people like them?

I am done. This forum as a whole has gotten very, very hateful. Transphobia, racism, internalized misogyny. This whole thought train of "everyone's too sensitive and gets offended easily!!!" bullshit.

I no longer want to be a part of this.

where this girl seems to take other peoples' (seemingly responsible and constructive/non-offensive) discussion and turns it into a dramatic que to emoragequit and call the entire forum hateful and phobic for no reason. I haven't been an approved member for long, but for the time that I've lurked and started browsing and posting here, there is very little hate and phobic behavior. It seems very accepting, in my opinion. If anyone is turning these sensitive subjects into a joke, it's people like Korreline who turn it into a drama fest. This sort of behavior reflects badly on the groups being discussed, in my opinion.

Extremists and extreme activists (I've seen it badly with PETA and feminism a lot, too) for the LBGT community need to pipe down and be more mature in their interactions if they want to see real and positive change. Not emoragequit when a constructive discussion is happening.

Reading that chick's Tumblr gave me a headache (the color scheme is too much for my old lady eyes), but I managed it.

I understand why she would be frustrated and angry, but people in porn get turned down for scenes all the time based on something physical about them. When I was looking to get into mainstream porn I was told I had two choices because of my body modification and breast size: taboo or being a sub. Instead of getting angry about it and attacking the companies that told me this, I said fuck it and ran off to find a place I DID fit in the way I wanted to.*

The person paying to have the film made has every right to say no to a performer asking to be in the film for any reason. Chelsea should keep looking for other lesbian porn companies who may WANT a trans woman in their productions if that's what she wants to do, but from what it looks like she was just angry about being rejected. I don't think either side of this handled it great, but I'm no one to talk: when I get pissed I say really stupid shit too.

*In no fucking way is this as disheartening as being turned down because you were born with the wrong genitals, I am sure. Just trying to relate the best I can.
