Life changing events-how tokens can change ones life or should they?

Hello everyone I've only been using cam sites for two months. Now that the honeymoon is over I have questions. First off I now have the utmost respect for models. It must be so hard to sit in a chair all night waiting for a tip. It acutally seems to be kind of sad. Starting off as a new model one must be mentally ready for the ups and downs. What I've found is that I enjoy chatting with the models it helps me forget about my stressful life at the end of the day. I now stay away from the models that push too hard for tips and private shows. Basically started off with approx. 40 models that were favorites now I realize there are only 2 or 3 that I enjoy chatting with and seem real. Most of these models live in economic conditions far lower than the United States.

A few models I text with over Whats App. and/or Snap Chat. They have sent me pictures of their family, kids, apartments, etc. So now I feel somewhat invested in them and want them to succeed. It is "right" to change the lives of these models by following these models and tipping on a regular basis? Maybe I'm being scammed however I don't think so. Honestly the money is not an issue for me. I guess I'm what you would call a whale. For example if a model lives in Venezuela and her average income is $5,000 US dollars then large tips would over night change her life style. The power imbalnce here makes one thinks. So if one were to tip $1,000-$2,000 per month overnight their world has changed. Your thoughts please, thank you.

We ALL have the power to change people's lives, and not just through money. As someone who has visited the less 'fortunate' of our society, I can tell you, some people are happy right where they are. It's arrogant to assume that a model is 'needy' just because she's a cam model or lives in a less developed country.

That being said, I think the best you can do for any model (or anyone for that matter) is to treat them with DIGNITY, and do not approach your financial support as 'charity'. If you genuinely enjoy a model, support her for what she does, not because you assume she needs saving. Just my two cents.

I realize that in e-mails and posts such as this one has to be careful because the true intent does not come through. Since I'm new to all of this please help me out. When you chat with someone do you not discuss personal things? Or is it stricltly business? Do you establish a relationship/friendship with the men that follow you? Or do you have a strict line that you do not cross when chatting with your followers? Even in my own personal business my customers know a lot about me. Perhaps I don't really understand cam sites maybe they are not for me. And no I'm not hopping on an airplane and flying across the globe for a fuck buddy.

What are your thoughts on someone camming from a poorer country? Is it exploitation or is it simply a chance for someone to raise their standard of living? Being South American (and i'm sure we can include so many other places here) does not equal being poor, unhappy, naive, needy of help or charity.
Just because we don't live life the way you do, it doesn't mean life is worse here. (and tbh we do live life pretty similarly)

There are people in need here, of course, but I'm sure there are people in need in your country too, so maybe go help them and stop feeling sorry for others because of their nationality.

No I do not think models lives are sad. As you know it takes time to start a business and build a clientele. What is sad is seeing a girl stay on cam all night and not earning any tips. Realizing that she may have spent all of her money to purchase equipment for camming. And no I do not believe that I or anyone else has power over a cam model. You are your own person. You make all your own decisions. You can ban someone from your room. You could delete all your accounts and walk away. No one has power over you. However, the standard of living most Americans enjoy is far above that which exists in other countries. Most Americans take for granted everything we have. They have not seen poverty. What I am trying to say is that there exists a huge income inequality between the US and other countries. So in some ways this is not a level playing field. Sorry, I tend to think differently than most.

You basically nailed it. Thank you for helping me with this. You are 100% correct. When you use the words "charity" and "saving" it tends to bring to mind a negative connotation. You phrased it better than I can one should "support a model for what she does". The idea being here that one should want a cam model to "succeed". Most men probably don't understand this. You are a business and it is beneficial for everyone involved for that business to become successful and prosper. From what I've seen on these forums camming sites can be very addictive and many men seem to "fall in love" with a cam girl not realiizing that this is business. From this side of things I can see how many men would take things personally and have trouble distiinguishing between a business and a relationship. We are all truly human and crave the acceptance and love from others. What camming sites have done now is blurred the lines between what is real and what is not. Thank you again for replying.
