Hello ladies ;) I have launched a Camming platform based purely on Bitcoin. I know Bitcoin has been hashed out a few times here and it didn't look as if it went so well. Unlike most of those people I understand that Bitcoin is still in its infancy and has its ups and downs. I am not one of those Bitcoin fanatics who think its the end all be all currency. I do however see it does have quite a few benefits to offer the Adult world as a payment gateway. pesudo anonymity, No charge backs and the ability to pay models instantly to name just a few.

Now with services such as coinbase and many others, models would no longer have to worry about losing the value of their currency because they can set their accounts to instantly exchange to usd or euro on deposit. These types of services have made it easy to buy and sell Bitcoin and that is one reason why I think the time is now for a Bitcoin based camming site..

I know this type of site may not be great for already established models at this point. I do think however this would be a good opportunity for some models that are having a hard time establishing their self get in to a Niche market instead of having to compete in the sea of a growing number of cammodels that seem to be flooding sites. It maybe also a good opportunity for girls who experience high conversion rates out side of the USA , especially our euro girls.

I my self have been a cam model since 2009 seen the rise and fall of many camsites. I have learned allot and plan to use what I have learned to grow the site and community. In 2012 I found Bitcoin and a camming platform called cam4btc and set out to create a site of my own after the developer was unable to further maintain and update the site . After a few years and allot of bumpy roads I am finally here.

We will be giving a few models 95% payout for broadcasting with us at Beta. All other models will be receiving 75% with the site taking 25% at withdraw. All models will be able to withdraw their earnings almost instantly as soon as the Bitcoin confirms in their accounts so no waiting on checks. I would love to hear your thoughts and concerns about Bitcoin and the site so don't be shy ;) I have also chosen not to release the domain address publicly here on the forum because of SEO concern's encase anyone is wondering. If you would like to give us a try or get in on the 95% beta incentive Just give me a shout.

Bitcoin is an extremely unstable form of currency, it's like the stock market on crack. It's gambling, just as an example one month last year I sold 7 of them at over $850 each, now they're only worth $285. The price constantly changes & if you aren't into monitoring it you will lose alot of money. I always went with my gut , but my boyfriend at the time (who got me into it), wouldn't listen to me & he ended up losing over $2000 over a 6-10 month period. It's fun to get as a donation, but NOT as a form of payment. Also, if you use any website to store your crypto currency in, there is ALWAYS the possibility of that website eventually being hacked & you losing your coins, and because it's for the most part untraceable, there is NO way the authorities can or will help you track it down. Crypto currencies began in the first place as a currency for illegal objects called the "silk road", black market type deal where people could buy drugs, sex slaves, hit men, etc. The only reason it has any value is because of other countries investing into it because it's not currently taxable ,believing one day it will be the main source of currency. Mount Gox was the main bitcoin exchange site, the MOST SECURE, it got hacked last year & over $400 million worth of bitcoins went MISSING!!!!!!!
So again, I am not against cryptos as I was able to make a decent buck back in the day, it's not a stable form of payment & you could be wasting your talent on a site for nothing. Unless you like to gamble & have some other form of stability to pay your bills, then don't waste your time!

Bitcoins are fine if you look at them as a vehicle for speculation. They function in the same way as derivatives, except the underlying asset is hype. If you believe the hype, then by all means go for it, but you can't look at your stash of Bitcoins the same way as you look at your bank balance.

If the OP's site is the same one as all their previous posts on this site, then I suggest you don't blindly search their other posts, find the URL, and look. Google says that site may have been hacked.

So I'd suggest anyone interested does indeed go via PM as if it's a different site you'll prevent yourself from potentially (accidentally) blundering on something bad. But I'd also raise questions around their security.

Bitcoin is fine, as long as you're not trying to use it as an investment. If you are, then you run the risk of losing money (or making it - if you're any good). As an instant payment instant withdrawl you simply charge a price in bitcoins (or bits of bitcoins) according to the current exchange rate.

I dont know how the site operates, but if you agree a price in bitcoins to do something it's not possible for you to be "under charged" and therefore ripped off unless you sit on said bitcoins (or it insta crashes in 10 minutes).

I'd also say the Mt Gox issue is slightly misleading. I'd encourage you to actually read about it rather than just read someone's CAPS LOCK statements :p Whilst it's based on an element of truth, it was more complicated and more involved than they make it sound. It was also due to an identified weakness that wasn't plugged...

But if you keep your bitcoins in your own wallet then you should be as safe as your computer is...

No, our site defiantly has not been hacked and does not throw that warning. If you are speaking of cam4btc.com I am no longer in control of the source code or the domain this is a completely different platform. But I thank you for for your insight and good advice on securing your Bitcoin ;)

The site is heavily moded so if there is a hint of underage or any illegal activity going on there would be an immediate ban. Cam4BTC is still in its infancy so its not pretty and its design is basic. I know allot of you Ladies Do not like the idea of BitCoin and never will. I am not here to try and change your minds or start a flame war .I myself am exited about Bitcoin, All its benefits and close friendly community it has behind it. I am here looking for like minded Girls or boys who are already intrigued about BitCoin and an opportunity to make money and help grow the community . I also want to say there isn't a whole lot of traffic on the site due to the fact that we run on donations and advertising costs money. Which now you are no longer involved with.

questions:

How is this not yet another platform that will just fizzle before it even gets off the ground?

What experience do you have in the cam model world that justifies you launching your own cam site? Or are you simply just "representing" again?

Do you even cam model, bro?

Cam4btc.com was a great idea but there was only so far you could take that platform because of the limitations of a the p2p rtmfp video protocol and the fact that it only ran on donations and adds. the combination of the two made it hard to monetize and The creator just did not have the time to further development as I wanted. The developer of cam4btc had great intentions and it functioned just as he designed it to do. He is a brilliant and wonderful guy, I just wanted more.

As for fizzle before it gets off the ground We already lifted off the site is alive and well and will remain that way.

I have been in the Cam world since around 2009 /2010 like I said have built allot of experience in both the crypto world and cam world with quite a few contacts in both. Although here in the past year I haven't been on cam very much because the development of this site has been a full time job in itself.
And yes I do even Cam Bro ;) :h: :h: :h:

What sites have you cammed from in the past?
And why do you think bitcoins are a niche that both members and models would be interested in.

Are you planning to cam from your site to help get traffic generated?

I viewed the site hawtbits.com (linked from your twitter)
It is very bare, basically a white page. I'm just wondering how you are going to promote a reasonable amount of traffic to the site, and market to people who are willing to buy bitcoins to begin with.

Will there be a way for members to buy bitcoins directly from your site? (i really have no idea how bitcoins are bought haha)

Have you talked to models and members before creating this website to see if it is something the general camming population would be interested in?

With the previous site having failed, I'm really interested to see where the interest in bitcoins really is.

My fist site I started with was Lj after that I moved on to streamate and chaturbate although I have probably worked or at least created a profile on most all cam sites that exist. That is not an exaggeration I have tried them all lol.

Yes I will be camming on the site full time to get traffic going although with the advertisements and marketing strategy we have in place there will be plenty of traffic. Yes it is basic the site is in Beta still and we are debating what to put on the front page beside the same old offline models as sites usually do. There will be a search feature and a page to view models pages offline soon.

Users cannot buy directly from our site but with services like Coin.mx and Trucoin.com you can buy Bitcoins as fast and easy as you can buy Tokens so I do not think that will be a problem.

Yes we have talked to models and members, the features that bitcoin allow us to implement are beneficial to the entire cam world. Using bitcoin is not the unique feature of this site, bitcoin is a tool that allows us to create features that can make models more money, by spending less on transaction and exchange fees. We are also working on some very high level features, that would disrupt the cam world, and can only be done using bitcoin.

Would disrupt the cam world? Under what conditions? Unless Bitcoins can make the wife go out drinking with her friends when your average married perv wants to drop a few C-notes on his favourite lovely, I don't see them doing much "disrupting of the cam world".

Otherwise, what would motivate the bulk of serious tippervs who provide the bulk of a cam model's income, the average age of whom I'd gauge to be somewhere north of 35, to hop on the Bitcoin bandwagon when they have good old credit cards and can transfer funds through their bank? What would move models to abandon cam sites whose dynamics they are familiar, if not necessarily delighted with, that provide a more or less predictable income to start working a site run by people who haven't run a successful cam site before? Let's not forget that they'd have to approach their regulars one by one and explain why they now need to buy fucking Bitcoins if they want to spend on her.

"Bitcoins."
"Wait what?"
"Oh, you haven't heard of them, bb? Let me email you a few links."

Cam sites are luxury entertainment, and spending on cam sites is often done on impulse. Any mechanic that complicates spending money on cam sites comes between the member reaching for his wallet and funds reaching the model's bank account. That's bad. Anything that creates dissonance in the member's mind, like having to weigh the pros and cons of this or that online currency, will make him think twice about spending. That's bad, too.

Bitcoin has already disrupted financial systems all over the World you don't think its possible to do with the porn industry? As for specifics you will just have to wait until we have executed our plans. this is not something I will discuss on a open forum.

Once again There are a number of services where you can buy Bitcoins instantly with Credit Debit instantly with no wait. Its just as simple as buying tokens on a token based cam site. Except for the fact that customers actually have something of value when they purchase Bitcoins not just tokens that have no value and can only be spent at the site. It is very possible in the future we could also start selling our own Bitcoins directly to users on the site.

Unused Bitcoins can be spent or cashed out almost instantly so they aren't stuck with tokens.
that may not be ideal for business because they are not forced to spend them on the site but it benefits the customer.
That is what we are here to do build a better system, fair and balanced that benefits both Model and customer.

For the people who say Bitcoin is too complicated, see instructions to send letters by computer.

I rest my case your honor.

I one of the things I wished for this New Year was a new camming platform that used bitcoin. I especially was looking forward to an exciting discussion on ACF of the subject. Only a week into the new year, and I already got my wish.  So God if you are listening, world peace and an orgy with 2 or 3 top camgirls is also on the list.

Ive done some googling and it looks like there are a few websites that already operate on bitcoins. None of them seem to have any active models.

I think one of my biggest concerns about accepting bitcoins would be that the bitcoin worth does change. Would models choose an amount of bitcoins worth to charge members for certain things? If that wording makes sense at all haha. Or would you use the bitcoins to buy a certain amount of site currency which would always be constant, and have a set amount of worth for the model to cash out. Then models could have a set per minute rate instead of having to change it based on how much the bitcoins are worth that day.

For me, having to see what bitcoins are worth constantly and then having to change my rates and everything seems like a little bit of a hassle. But if you could find out a way to make it work without so much bitcoin tracking on the model's part (maybe have them choose how much USD they want to make per minute then automatically convert it to the bitcoins worth on a daily basis for a members view) then i would be more accepting to the idea.

Ive also notice that chaturbate accepted bitcoins as payment at one point in time? Then took the bitcoin payment off. I'm kinda curious as to why they took it down

I do like the idea that with bitcoins you wouldnt have to send members bills and stuff and they are all discrete.

The issue with that extra step, as Sevrin mentioned, isn't that Bitcoins aren't instant or aren't easy to obtain. The way I see it there are two immediate problems:

If the user has to venture offsite to buy bitcoins to pay the model in, that directs them away from the site, where they can hm and haw and figure out where the shit to start, before either totally forgetting about the model or becoming frustrated with the process of having to go offsite to buy bitcoins, choose and set up their wallet, go back to the site, and enter whatever info is needed for them to actually use their bitcoin on the site. It's just clunky and not really practical, and leaves a HUGE opportunity for them to navigate away and not come back. Further, what is sexy about a sales pitch on why they need to 'learn cryptocurrency bb, so u can tip me'. I'm not going to take time out of my show or live cam time to be all, "Here let me be your guide to Bitcoin". I already need to sell myself, I don't want to sell Bitcoin. By sell myself, of course, I mean sell people on the idea of me, and by sell Bitcoin, I mean sell people on the idea of Bitcoin, in case there was any confusion caused by my wording.

The second issue I see is that, sure, while Bitcoin may not be 'complicated' per se, to buy, it's not exactly a market a boatload of people are jumping on. How am I, the model, going to convince a member who already spends money on me to take a risk with Bitcoin, knowing what they spend now may very well be worth a lot less by the time they want to use it? Even if there were an instant cashout, I always got the same amount, etc - that doesn't mitigate the risk in buying bitcoin for the member - which I think is a HUGE factor to consider.

I agree all of them sites are dead they use bitcoins to buy tokens> tokens are spent on models > then they pay models in usd. That business model does not get the community excited not to mention they are probably not targeting the right users.

The site already has :show stats" tab where you can see the amount of Bitcoin you have made and what it ='s in dollars at that moment in time . The account page also has that feature. That way you can adjust your prices against the Usd or Euro. it fairly straight forward. There is also a Btc ticker with up to date pricing against USD Ie (1.00B = 300.USD) Dont let people fool you it doesn't fluctuate in very large increments normally so you wont be adjusting that often but you could always set your rates higher if it does to adjust. like today for instance the high was $293.64 and the low was $282.88 that is only -2.06% or fluctuation in a 24 hour period.

In all honesty Chaturbate and other mainstream sites removed it because it wasn't worth it they said they didn't make enough in sales to justify keeping it as a payment option. They also didn't have the community behind them or know how to specifically target users.

The models are not there to convert members you would direct them to the big link that say's buy Bitcoins! Most users will already have Bitcoin being that we are mostly targeting Bitcoin users specifically.

You also need to understand this is a small Niche audience for the moment this may not be for your established cam girl who is already turning 500.00 a night. There are many girls out here struggling to make a dollar this would pull them out of the growing sea of competition.

Let me put it another way the Bitcoin market cap now stands at $4 Billion dollars. There is plenty of money to be made.
We just need to go get it.

I'm curious as to how your site model does get the community excited. Or, what community?

How do you target the right users?

Since the rates fluctuate constantly, actually adjusting one's rates accordingly seems like way too much. I wonder if it wouldn't make more sense to have a system wherein a model enters her desired cut (in USD or anything else), and the display on the site automatically adjusts to reflect how much of a Bitcoin the member needs to contribute. Even if it doesn't fluctuate much, I'm still not willing to make 2% (or more) less on whatever content I sell throughout the day or shift - what one member pays, they should all pay.

How would a model who doesn't make very much on another camsite make more with this platform? If the 'niche' is Bitcoin, okay, neat. But...how does that make her more money? Because there are fewer models on the site, or purely by virtue that this is for Bitcoin users...? I'm sorry, I'm just not understanding how one model who is unsuccessful on one site would be more successful on your's.

I think the crypto community would be more please with our model because we are not only accepting Bitcoin purely as a Token we are paying out with it also introducing more users to the network.

Many models adjust their rates on a constant basis . I do not think that will be a problem to most. Your show stats on the site show the amount you have made in USD dollars and continually update's to reflect the market price. Our system works just like any other goal based shows or privates. You wait till your goal is hit in USD you may hit it sooner or later depending on your customers and the market. That 2% also reflex a 24 hour period that amounts to 25.66 cents and hour + or -.

I think most of you already know how Niches can play a part in success in the Adult world.

Clicking through the link from the poster in THAT thread where all of this has already been hashed out, takes you to this person's "new platform".

For frak's sake.

What exactly is the problem with the platform or the other thread ?
The problem is that there's another 4 page thread you could have bumped and continued the conversation, since this has all been discussed before. Are you not the same person as the other thread? Related to them somehow? Just seems a little fishy that you didn't come right out and say that it's the same company, just a re-named bitcoin site.

I wanted to start a fresh thread I honestly thought it would be better received coming from me.
Also no we are not the same people that is my partner and Co owner. You can see here I have been actively
working on it for some time now. I usually post on Stripperweb as you can see here > https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showt ... am4BTC-com
The name has changed a few times yes, but that decision was not made to hide anything in fact I have changed the name a few times before Beta.

Just feels pretty shady that it wasn't mentioned outright that it's the same people/company as the thread that was discussed ad nauseam previously. People who tout bitcoin's praises and want to prove that it isn't some shady weirdo currency might want to seem less shady themselves by being more transparent and honest.

Just feels pretty shady that it wasn't mentioned outright that it's the same people/company as the thread that was discussed ad nauseam previously. People who tout bitcoin's praises and want to prove that it isn't some shady weirdo currency might want to seem less shady themselves by being more transparent and honest.

That's all.

I feel me and my partner have both been pretty forthcoming and accommodating to you and all members.
I truthfully already knew how this post would go before I posted it but I gave it a try anyways.

Maybe the fact other sites removed bc as a form of payment should clue you in to the fact its not really worth having a site run solely on them. I mean if huge sites cant make it work..... And to be frank you have not one clue really if CB had know how as to who they targeted and how they went about it fully. It's pretty obnoxious to think you know all they did to try to make bitcoins work for them and it's just cause they didnt have know how of how to do it but you surely do. And that goes for any other failed site that has tried to launch using them.

As far as ive seen you havent given any reason here to show you have a bc community backing you either. I see round about talk and secret promises of things to come that you wont fully say/lay out/or won't discuss in an open forum. Heck you wouldnt even give out the site name yet, someone else had to search for it. You also said some girls will get this % or that % (no explanation as to who gets what or why even.) As if were supposed to have a secret clandestine PM meeting about your site to get in on it. That's just weird. Not exactly a great way to go IMHO. It looks shady when people try to hide things ya know. As a cam model you should know that and know better.

As to a community of members on a site I think we all know that the majority of members could care less about a sites business model. Heck a lot are shocked when they find out a model on MFC gets 5 cents a token or on SM the model gets 35 cents per dollar. If they dont know how much the model even gets you think they care how the bitcoins are transferred into tokens or if it's direct to he model alone. They pay for what they want if they want it and they get it and that's all most care about. Lil head isnt calculating how it's transferring to her and a sites business model lol.

Lastly saying you wanted a fresh start (why?) and you thought it would come better received coming from you. We dont know you. We dont know your qualifications for running a site. We have nothing to go on. Except now you look shady as first it was this one site you took over and now its another one too and a partner you never even mentoned till you got called on it. As if us thinking it was just run by a model would be better perhaps? And now that its not going well you're throwing in the towel saying you would know how it would go but tried anyway? Really. Real mature there. Maybe it hasnt gone well cause all of this looks very bad on you.

Well, I'm going to say posting here on Amber cutie any further would be counter productive for Now.

Hmm you could talk about things and work them out and explain yourself and answer our questions and explain the business like a professional..... or you can do what you're doing. That's cool too. Im so sorry we here like to know full well who we are working with and their ideas and plans and maybe even help them out with ideas and things we would like as well, as actual models we do have insight, but running away is okay too.

You're not posting on ME, this is ACF (AmberCutie's Forum). ;)

I understand why you wouldn't post further at this point. If only you had started out on the right foot and been upfront about who you were and were associated with, you might have gotten less flack from us. It's hard enough to discuss cryptocurrencies here at ACF since most of us like to deal in actual currency, so a word of advice to any future posters would be to be honest and transparent in your actions, intentions and previous interactions on the forum.

And advice to anyone proposing a new site or business plan: keep an eye on your grammar and spelling. Typos and distracting grammar mistakes from someone you're supposed to trust to run a business are off-putting. You could say it reflex badly on you and your business.

That 2% also reflex a 24 hour period that amounts to 25.66 cents and hour + or -.
