Lame Scam Attempt?

Hey, I just had a quick question. I'm 99% sure but I just need to double check...I'm in Chaturbate and a guy asked to take me private (tipped genuinely first before I responded to his PM). He said the only way to initiate privates is the model has to set a password for her room. That's not correct, right? The members have to request it? I banned him because that felt like a cheap ass scam...please tell me I didn't just ban a potential customer.

1 token obviously the first red flag. I figured (wrongly) that if they're going to tip to obstensibly "discuss private" they'd be for real. My bad.

You can set a password for your room - some models do this after a countdown so that only people who tipped for it and were sent the password can view the show. That's not a private, though.

I had something similar to this on Chaturbate. He requested a password show and promised to pay 1000 tokens per 10 min. I told him once I made the password show he must give the 1000 tokens to continue, he refused saying he had been scammed before. I then removed that password. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but seemed sketchy to me. I think for now I will only stick to privates. I am still learning all of this too.

After 3 years on cb off and on, I feel like members who only want password shows exclusively are cheap as hell and looking to pay little to less than an actual private. I mean if they want a private so bad why not use the normal private function? >_>

Don't feel bad he tried to get me too. I knew it was a scam when the amount he "tipped" never showed up.
