Hiya! I finally found a site where I can ask questions! After googling Webcam Model help doesn't really pull up many sucessful leads

I'm currently at my full time job (office) so I'm just browsing this site an havn't had chance to full read it or register as a model. But I started last night at Livejasmin, at first I thought it was totally amazing I hit $50 in an hour and was like WOW!

Now nothing, Okay admittedly I've been online about 8 hours total but after the promotion thingy finished I don't seem to be having any pvts. Theres a few nice members that have been hanging out in my room pleading poverty (and as soon as they have credit they will take me pvt) etc, but I've been chatting to them anyway as they seem nice and it can get a little boring chattin to random guests over an over.

I have a pretty face but I'm a little heavier than most of the models about a size 14/16 UK, is it me? Does this happen to everyone? I just seem to get alot of guys that try to scam me by pretending to tip (like typing it in the free chat) or jus guys that want to hang out an chat but not actually pay me anything. I don't mind hanging about an chatting but ultimatly I won't keep doin modelling if I'm not going to make anything lol

Any helps or tips appreciated. Or links to helpful posts (due to me being at work I can't really search properly )

There's a website I referred to when first starting; http://www.mycamgirlsecrets.com/p/advice-index.html

It gives a good outline for beginners: web camera reviews, building a persona, free chat/private etiquette, outfits, props, etc.
There are also reviews of many of the modelling sites out there to help find one that's a good fit for you. Many of the girls on this forum work on myfreecams.com, as do I, but Skinvideo and Streamate are popular too.

There's a slew of valuable information on this site, just check out the models only forum when you're verified

And there is no required shape or look for webcam models, I'm sure what you have will pique the interest of many. Just carry yourself with confidence and grace.

All good points, but you left out that part of just having fun doing what you want to do. and YES all shapes and sizes are wanted and desired at almost every site.

You're right, having fun is the all encompassing rule. Now, if only I can stop drinking on cam :whistle:

Hehe, I was considering having a glass or two of vino on my show on sunday Might give me an extra bit of confidence. Had a quick go on tonight for 30mins an got a private straight away yay!

I've signed up for model status so hopefully will get that soon. This forum is great, thanks for the responses. I'm really enjoying it so far, think I may try MFC instead of Livejasmin but I may aswell stick out livejasmin for now

same thing happened to me on LV. That was one of the sites I first worked on when I first started camming and it blows. lol. You should find a better site to cam on like MFC or Streamate.
