Is chivalry sexism?

I don't understand why chivalry is heralded in such a negative light anymore. It always seemed like a set of manners. Is a guy holding a door open for me because I can't or because I am weaker? No. It's politeness. I'm sure he opens doors for guys too.

Some bits of chivalry have no place in the modern era anymore though. I would not allow someone I didn't know to have my address, example, meeting someone random or from the internet. I think a modern day version of chivalry would be a guy understanding why they shouldn't harass women, accepting that it happens even if it doesn't happen to him, and if he does see a guy harassing a woman, to stick up for her without expecting anything in return from her aside from a simple thank you.
