Hi, yesterday someone pointed out to me that Chaturbate's age verification page has changed a little and does not seem to be accepting Colombian Cedulas (national government issued voter ID cards) anymore. Indeed I tried setting up a new account and the ID was instantly denied twice.
It says you need a Passport or Drivers Licence.
Is it really only Passport or drivers license now? This will be a massive change for Colombia since I imagine less than 5% of Colombians have those things. (closer to 1% of webcam models)

Hi, the same thing happened to me several days ago I tried to create accounts on chaturbate for my models, they do not have a passport or driver's license, I have tried several times with different profiles and also different identity documents, which say that the reason for not accepting the documents is that they look blurry or small or poor quality, when before I had no problems to register someone, it is not a logical answer, in support also give no answer, this without counting the unexpected bans.
What are we supposed to do to register new models, it really affects us a lot as models and studios.
I attach the screenshot where it says that they only accept models with driver's license or passport.

I’ve never seen a Colombian driver’s license but I’ve held a Colombian cedula in my hand and it seemed pretty much like any driver’s license here in the US.

If Chaturbate wanted to be super safe they should require all models to verify with passport only. Now, I don't know how easy or prevalent it is to make a fake US driver's license but since Chaturbate is an american company they do require american models to submit their tax information so I am guessing it is somewhat more difficult in that sense to cam with a fake ID.

Colombia is pretty much a no-man's-land and you can get away with a lot because it's essentially lawless... Mores when it comes to things such as stealing are weak, boundaries are fuzzy and it isn't as culturally frowned upon to break the law or do dishonest things to earn a living as in other places. Considering Colombia is a studio country we have 2 instances where models could be using fake IDs to cam. (a) the model herself could trick the studio she works for giving them a fake ID.. the studio would then get her verified without knowing the ID is fake. (b) the studio could be recruiting underage models and getting them verified with fake IDs without the model necessarily knowing what is going on.

Chaturbate would be wise to ban IDs other than passports to cam with. Sure, getting a passport is a hassle nobody likes standing in line and going around doing paperwork, but where there's a will there's a way I guess? Its their job to verify themselves.

It's not BUT a colombian ID doesn't expire but on the back of the colombian drivers license theres a authorized categories section with expiration dates (like B1 residential, C1 commercial) and I think CB uses those dates as the expiration for the drivers license. I've only seen it happen one time theres not exactly a lot of models using drivers licenses so I can't say if it always plays out like that.

Hi, there are a number of security features on a Colombian Cedula. Holograms, biometrics, etc. In fact they have so many damn reflective holograms that they are extremely hard to photograph and most failed verifications are because the holograms are blocking important info. In addition you can use an app like verifiquese to query the national police database with the issue date and the document number. If a document with that number was issued on the date specified, the system will return the name that should be on the cedula. So this way you can make sure the info on the document is real, at least those 3 items - name, issue date and document number. Whats left is to be sure the person carrying it is the real owner.

I don't think they have, I don't know what scenario they are requiring DL or passport but there would be way more posts if they really stopped accepting colombian IDs for everyone.

I know some said CB switches to using some software, here is what I guess. Whatever software they are using for ID's may only have certain ID's in certain countries validated in the system. It could be that the software has not got around to that sort of ID, or it may be that they won't validate certain types of ID's simply because they are too easy to fake (either by paying someone who has access to the right machine, or simply duplicating one close enough that it is almost impossible to tell it fake).

In recent years (last 10) the US tightened up how drivers licenses were made. It used to be the machine that made the licenses were in each and every license office (many offices per each US state), and now the license machines for each state is in a tightly controlled smaller number of location(s) such that it is much harder to get a "fake license" that is has fake information/photo but is made with the actual real license machine so is impossible to tell is fake without validating with the original database. I am going to guess before that some of the local licenses offices were not that secure and/or if you pay the right local person and you can get a "fake" that looks exactly right since it was made by the right machine. I am pretty sure that the passports for most countries are harder to fake (more heavily regulated to be valid passport), and the machines are secured such that it is much harder to get a real passport with "fake" info/photo. And it could be the system has a way to ask the database that should know and if that db does not know or they don't have access to it they don't accept the ID.

I think you probably don’t know what the consequences are to the claims you are making in a public forum. Your original claim is that Chaturbate is directly involved in the creation and distribution of minor porn. You are accusing Chaturbate of committing a felony which would result in the site being closed down by the authorities and its admins getting time. Anyone reading this forum and reading your claim could potentially walk away thinking Chaturbate is committing these nefarious acts which is a reputation loss for Chaturbate. Since you have 0 proof to backup your claim and in fact Chaturbate takes every measure to ensure no minors are broadcasting on their platform what you are doing is defamation and you are liable. Chaturbate can sue you on the grounds that you are tarnishing their reputation with false claims. If I was you I would be more careful.

JUST FOR THE RECORD : i dont know if all but 99% of the european countrys were asked to have an passport or driving licence on chaturbate since 4 years ago, and the ids were no longer accepted ! so no its not new and company did not changed policys .

So now if that happends to coloumbian models ( latin america area ) its because they must comply with this rule for all continents and countrys

If a model is serious about the work they will need to have ID to travel.

And if studios want to make money then getting a model a passport is just part of the process.

A passport costs $50 USA Dollars to obtain in Colombia. It would take your model ten moths to pay you back the cost at $5 a month from her earnings.

And at the end of it. She would have a useful item to take away from the studio.

I am asking because if you are Colombian you would know getting a fake cédula is far, far easier than getting a passport. You can bribe people to get them and in fact there was a big scandal because Colombian cédulas were being massively sold to Venezuelans. Passports on the other hand are handled quite differently, and although I am sure there is a way to bribe someone and get a fake Colombian passport I am also pretty sure getting the right contact is nearly impossible and getting one probably quite expensive. So no, cédulas and passports aren’t equally secure, they aren’t even in the same realm. So I don’t know why you are claiming such lie. Maybe because you are the owner of a studio or working for one and you want to tip the scale in favor of cédulas, but it just isn’t true and you would know it if you lived in the region.

And from the things you are saying about models needing to cam at a moments notice and not being able to get a passport... well, sounds like it’s preying on the desperate people with big problems to solve urgently, instead of getting girls who actually make the choice to cam out of their own volition, so I only see upsides to banning the cédulas.

Following your post, I looked up the Colombian passport requirements and timeframes... read through both the official Cancillería de Colombia website and online opinions from colombians and passports take exactly 24-48 hours to be delivered after paying the fee if it's requested within the Colombian territory, there are no interviews, you only have to take the documents and pay a fee which is about $44. You don't even need to take pictures with you as they take them on the spot for free. Some people complain about difficult in getting appointments for passports since Covid hit, but it's an anomaly. I don't understand why all this misinformation? Maybe there's something I am missing here?

OK so I did some in person reviews, 3 of my girls recently got passports. You are correct it only takes a day or two from the first appointment, which is set a week or two out when requested. The problem they had was missing the appointment due to traffic or whatever and having a hard time getting a second appointment because Colombian beaurocrats take missed appointments fairly seriously. Sorry for the misinformation.

The girls applying are generally already selling in-person services to randos for US $20-$50. Yes they are "desperate people with big problems to solve urgently", - they would like to stop fucking strangers while jumping through minimal hoops if possible. I agree there are plenty of fake cedulas but they can easily be reviewed by comparing them to the national database.
At the end of the day I am not in any position to say how chaturbate or anyone else should conduct their business, the purpose of this thread is simply to determine if "no more cedulas" is actually the case or if the ones I've submitted simply weren't good enough somehow, as they were rejected repeatedly and rapidly enough to suggest they had not been reviewed at all, simply rejected out of hand.
At first I was concerned they might be fake, so I had them certified by the National Police.
