Hey

I've recently been having a few models message me when I'm online. The issue is that I don't want to put them on my ignore list, because I like them. However, one is turning particularly needy and she IMs me with no exception if we're both online. She even offers to masturbate for no tokens, as long as I turn on my cam as well. (I stripped for her once.) This is very nice of her, and I like that she does that. However, sometimes it would just be nice to log in and not feel obligated to talk to them. I've been searching online for a solution, but I can't seem to find a way to be 'invisible' or appear offline when I'm on MFC. I still want to be logged on my account, because of my tokens etc. I've had models IM while they appeared offline, so I'm assuming they can do it.

Is there any way I can achieve this? Thanks!

Alright, I'll just have to manage it another way then. Thanks for the replies. I have a follow-up question if that's alright. One model yesterday IMed me, with which looked very much like a comment on another model that I was visiting in her room at that time. I didn't ask her because I didn't notice the IM until today. Is it possible for models to see where you are on the site, or see which models you're currently visiting?

There is no way for another person on the site to see what room you are in, unless they are in that room with you. Anyone in a room can see everyone else in that room.

Check your profile settings. It is indeed possible to see where you are on the site unless this option is set to "no":

Could you show exactly where you you can see the rooms someone is in? I've never seen it. The setting you're referring to is a remnant of something that no longer works IIRC.

By removing the needy models from your friends list, and then setting your PMs to Friends Only, you can avoid these unwanted PMs.

When I want a little quiet perving time, I just turn on my away message in the personal settings. Seems to work.

Well, how about that! I didn't change my own settings, but checked a bunch of profiles and didn't see any that were listing a location. It used to, unless all the profiles I checked have turned this off.

If it's become a no-op, MFC should remove the setting IMHO. I figured it worked since the setting to change it is still there.

If she is a studio model she may be sitting right next to the other model you were visiting or close anyway, even if it looks like they are in different rooms.

Yep, I double checked as well and that option doesn't actually do anything. The html is still rendered, but it's commented out.

You're right; they should get rid of the setting as well.

Wow. I suppose I'm pretty naive with these things. There are studio models like that? Most look as if they're in their own living room. Does this happen often? Is there a way to find out, like certain clues?

If you can't tell the difference between a studio layout and a home layout you haven't been on myfreecams long enough.

That's not always true. I get mistaken for a studio model all the time because I cam from a bed in my room and have nothing on my walls.

Studio's usually have a lot of decorations in them, and usually wild colors. Only one or two are plain looking.

Now I know there are studio models, it's admittedly relatively easy to recognize them. I just never thought of it in the first place.
