My upload speed is at about 7-8 mbps but I still drop frames on OBS when I stream at 720p HD on CB. It seems to depend on time of day, if OBS likes me or not, the position of the moon, etc.

Wondering if anyone can share ideal streaming from OBS settings, any tips, tricks, etc. Is that enough juice for 720p HD?

Thanks :h:

I'm sorry, however since this a technical question maybe other CB broadcasters on ACF have answers or I'd suggest you email Support@Chaturbate.com and ask them to forward you to the technical department to discuss your internet connection and how this may be affecting your room. If you use the subject line "Tech support needed" and give them detailed problems you seem to be having, it will be much faster and more convenient for you. Support is very happy to forward tech help requests!

Dropped frames will depend on either internet or hardware. Do check upload speed by using the chaturbate speedtest (http://chaturbate.speedtestcustom.com/). If problem is hardware you should receive a message on bottom of OBS's status-bar reading something like "encoder overloaded". It would also be helpful to know the exact make and type of your webcam.

Internetwise the lowest OBS settings for 720p would probably look like so

Thank you so much for sending!

The results from my CB internet in the Europe 2 server test are:
-ping: 79
-download: 175.4
-jitter: 21
upload: 7.4

I used the same OBS settings you used.

What do you think? Should my internet be seamless and its another issue?

I recently helped a model with her cam dropping frames badly and it turned out to be a faulty HDMI cable between her computer and camera. Had it replaced and has been fine since. Maybe check alternative connections with your setup to see if using a different port gives an different performance result.
