I verily want to pour melted wax on my boobies; alas...

Alas, fuck me if I can find the kind of candles I want.

I have always used the tall jar candles with pictures of saints on them, but I find that the jar makes shit weird and once you get like half way down, it's hard to keep the wick lit.

I really want to get fat old votive candles outside of the jar, but I'm having a hell of a time finding any. I went to five stores (including two Wal-marts) today and all I could find were stubby votives at the Wal-marts, and the color selection was either white, lime green or red.

I suppose I could just light the jar candles two hours early and let that shit melt down properly, thus ending the vicious cycle of wax on the jar, but does anyone know of a place to buy jar-less candles?

(Alternatively, is there an easy way to de-jar a candle?)

I used to do this all the time when I was a professional submissive at a dungeon: Warm the candles in a crockpot with some water in it. Takes about 20 minutes, then you can get ALL the wax out of there.

Edit: jar/saint candles ONLY. No pillars, no votives, and God help us, NO BEESWAX or honeycomb ever ever ever. 2nd degree wax burns super suck! I know you know this, Evvie, but I'd hate to see someone else burn their kitty or other sensitive bits.

The water/crock pot bit I've seen done rather often, but I always worried the fire was part of the appeal. Maybe I'll melt down the candles and just light the wick right before I start xD

I've not done it for this purpose but I have 'crock potted' Jesus candles and then when there's a sufficient melting, removed the entire candle from the jar by pulling on the unburned wick. If you do this play frequently enough, perhaps finding a local supplier of lower temp candle wax would be less hassle than the search for store bought. That way you could even make your own and use wide mouth canning jars that are much shorter than the Jesus candles. I've made candles for many years and its actually kind of fun. :twocents-02cents:

I use the link Skip posted. They aren't hot at all, so if you are going more for the pain then they aren't really going to work, they drip well though!

I personally don't like the BDSM candles because they burn too cool and the best part for me is really the little rush, but obviously I don't want to burn myself.
I do at least one wax show a week, (you caught one, hehe) and I've gone through so many different brands to find the perfect, brightly colored, not TOO hot candles that pour heavy and these are by far the best ones I've found.
I will however suggest not getting the orange. All the other colors are awesome but the orange get's a bit hotter than the others and made me a little nervous when I tested it.

The purple, navy blue, black and red are very vibrant! The green is a bit too light colored for cam but still visable.
After many different brands I'm in love with these!

The candles I linked to are low temp and may be too safe for some people.

Exactamundo. I want to feel it, not just look at it. The low temp ones are just no fun for me and leave me feeling... I dunno... frustrated? unsatisfied? something like that.
So yeah evvie if you like the little rush of it being hot but not actually burning you those ones I listed are rad!
