my webcam friend is a little stressed about some recordings I found on the internet.
I don't know if I can put the website link here, but to explain a little.

basically you see screenshots from her recorded videos (in public) and a link to download the video. (if you pay)

I don't wanna make the problems worse so before I contact the website owner I would like to know if more girls have experience with removing recorded videos.

I see thousands of mfc names on the website.

do you think it's possible to remove her videos? (and do they listen to your request?)
and if so, with a "DMCA Report" ?

DMCA Report

If you believe that copyright infringement or intellectual property rights have been violated, please provide the following information:

an electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright or other intellectual property interest;
a description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property that you claim has been infringed;
a description or url where the material that you claim is infringing is located;
your current contact information, including telephone number, and email address;
Your statement and good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright or intellectual property owner, its agent, or the law;
Your statement made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your Notice is accurate and that you are the copyright or intellectual property owner or authorized to act on the copyright or intellectual property owner's behalf.

Please do not send any other notices or communications to the Designated Agent, who is appointed solely for the purposes of receiving notices of copyright claims under the DMCA.

hmm thanks for replying.
that looks interesting, you advice there not not report with an DMCA Report, with using personal information.

however on the website you can easily dump the link in report, it's not that easy to make a link disappear?

I wonder if mfc care about 1 single model to help her remove a video on a website, with thousands of videos to download.

Did you read the follow up in that thread? She can use the DMCA form to have MFC do it for her. She may have to send them an email asking for the DMCA page to be made available to her on her administration page.

Maybe something in this thread would help.

ok thank you, I will explain her this.

I was just hoping these websites would listen to a quick "hey, please remove these links" instead on contacting mfc (12h waiting) and waiting for them to contact the website.

Whenever these threads rock up, I always wonder why, if it's such a big thing for the model in question, they aren't doing something about it themselves.
she doesn't speak english very well, plus it's a bit technical, and not every girl knows a lot about computer things.
but yes, she could easily send mfc an email for help.

A girl who is a camgirl kind of HAS to know about "computer things" though. If she can't send the company she works with an email, that is a problem!

fact is, there are enough models with no computer skills or who don't know much more english then "hru bb"
and I have to admit, I didn't know it was good idea to send mfc an idea about this problem.
that's why I asked it here.

That's great and all, but most camgirls also quit after a few months, because they didn't know the computer skills that would make them successful at camming.

They won't respond to an email from YOU about it, by the way, she'll have to send an email from her email address that she signed up with MFC on herself.

Speaking English and being able to operate a computer and navigate the internet are different things.

You don't have to speak English to understand...computer....thiiiinggss

Well issuing DMCA take down request isn't exactly a technical thing. It is more of understanding the legal language involved in the Digital Millennial Copyright Act. This is probably well beyond the stuff covered in 3rd year high school English in most European countries. The process is somewhat complicated and the pitfalls (using your personal information) can be pretty bad.

Another question is: how can it be stopped from happening? I mean, even some private and group shows are uploaded to there, so it's not just basics or guests sitting there. The people capping those shows and uploading them should be actively searched and prosecuted and if possible banned from all camsites! In the end I am a person who pays for some of these shows, and he is making money of them.. that ain't right.. I would accept it if a model used the footage for her own but someone else.. no!

Lots of public shows are automatically recorded by cappers who try to make a buck off pirated downloads. Typically, anyone with over 100 viewers tends to be automatically recorded on a variety of sites. As for groups and pvt show recordings, there are many variables that play a part in this. Sometimes (very rarely) it seems like there are glitches on MFC that cause viewers to be able to see groups/pvts/trupvts for free. This was definitely happening a lot some time ago but seems to have been fixed since. You also have the instances where someone watching and paying will record and distribute the material for whatever reason, may it be personal gain in some way (popularity or monetarily) or to trade. Basically, there's not much you can do to completely avoid it. It's just a part of the job. It's good to keep an eye out for new things being posted and try to keep it under control by keeping up with sending DMCAs, but it's impossible to erase yourself from the internet after having been a camgirl. The best thing to do is simply NOT download those pirated videos and empathize with the girls who entertain you. A lot of unsavory shit goes on behind the scenes. Unfortunately camgirls being affected directly by piracy is only the tip of the iceberg.

What's to understand? I thought computers only do two things: porn and cats...and occasionally porn cats.
