How to get the first show started

Hey everyone, aspiring cam model here. Since I'm starting from scratch with no following how should I get the show started?
I have a tip menu but I am not sure if I should do some things for free (like dancing/twerk, maybe feet or boobie flash?) to get the ball rolling? Maybe tease, but how?

I don't want to be the girl who is looking bored on cam, staring into the cam or my phone not doing anything. As someone who has been watching several models; I know as a customer I'm not inspired to tip if the star of the show if she's not interacting with the room. However, I don't want to have people in my room think that I work for free.

As a former stripper I understand the dynamics in stripping vs camming are very different but being entertaining is a must in both positions. When I worked as a stripper in the lapdance club, I would always dance on stage regardless if anyone was at the rack tipping on stage. (To avoid looking bored/coming across as "snobby".) However I wouldn't get naked or flash anything if I wasn't getting tipped. So I'm trying to have the correct judgement/mindset before I turn on the cam and become a verified model.

You can interact without giving away freebies! Look put together, be confident, have some topics to talk about, and be ready to interact. Dancing/moving around is a great way to get people into an empty room. Don't do full dances (especially if you have them on your tip menu) free but showing off that you can move, especially considering you have that skillset is a good idea. Chatting is a great way to keep ppl engaged. In public chat, being chatty is the part that we do for free typically. Before you turn your cam on try some angles and get a feel for what makes your body look best on camera.

I feel like you're already ahead of the games with the tip menu. I didn't have anything prepared and although I made money, it wasn't a lot. Doing some basic dance moves would be a great way to get people into your room, but remember to not sell yourself short. I am personally fine with doing some things for free (feet and showing my tummy) but I'm firm about flashing and removing clothing costing tokens. Being firm with your decisions helps with weeding out people who want everything for free. Given the experience you have though, you should be fine and have a great start. If your up for it, you could always add some kind of game to play (I personally have a dice game that works fairly well.)

OK so I dont know Camsoda at all well and with CB i know that the 'visual' thing affects your placement more so it maaaaay be that you may need to do a bit more for free ..... but i've NEVER cammed there so i have no idea >,<

I will tell you its OK to experiment! And try stuff and see what sticks. So don't feel like you have to have it all figured out when you turn the cam on.

I was also thinking of having balloons for the looners, but to also "celebrate my first show". Are looners common enough to do that?

Looners are not super common like that but an excuse for balloons is always fun! You can hide proceed in them and have a tip to pop!

I signed up for CamSoda and honestly, I didn't give it much of a chance so my opinion may not be worth much...but the low traffic was...super low. They have quite a few big names/porn stars and I didn't feel at home doing what I would on MFC (chatting it up, flirting, goofing off a bit) and I found rooms usually had zero-five viewers or over one thousand. Again, I didn't give it much of a chance the one broadcast with zero viewers scared me a bit. I have heard that when it's good though, it's really good.

I have been on MFC for just over a year and it's my favorite and likely always will be. I love the user experience on CB and the options for games, etc. But I found it to be more intense, like shove a dildo down your throat or gtfo lol. I think planning wise CB would be easier for a first show since you can set up their bots for games, automatic tip menu, etc....I felt a lot less stressed when planning a show on there because of those things.

Since you are brand new that should help get the conversations rolling, when I was new (and again when I had to switch accounts) everyone is eager to get at the new girl and in my experience are a lot more chatty/encouraging to the newbies so you might find it's easier than you think right off the bat Like others have mentioned, the fact you have a tip menu already is a good start! I like to decide what I want to do while I'm online and type it out on notepad or word first so I can just copy and paste my topic/tip menu/goal once I go online. I find when I have a theme "baking cookies in the kitchen"/"shower show at goal"/"games night" I can plan my activities, and thus, my show around that. So if you are doing your show in the kitchen you could use whipped cream, spatula spanks, etc...shower show you could oil up, tip for wet t-shirt...you get what I'm saying lol. Basically all that rambling was me saying I find it easiest to plan what to do based on what the goal is and if you have a topic/theme.

God, maybe it's just that I talk so damn much the time just flies by lol.

no problem. i recommend comparing models around your placement as you and top models. if you mention what sites you are on, models here may mention what they charge here. i suggest getting verified because some models are more private about their rates/tip requirements.

I am still in the research phase so I havent actually started camming yet. But I am looking to start next week looking at chaturbate

if you cant handle multiple cam sites you have your more passive sites. indie (cammodel directory and skyprivate), clip sites (manyvids, clips4sa;e, i wantclips) phone sex operator aka pso (niteflirt, sextpanther)

yeah! the way most people do it is for example if you are doing a vibe cumshow at goal you could put a 1 or 2 minute vibe tease on your tip menu, theoretically it would encourage people to tip more towards the goal if they like the tease! just make sure you price it high enough that you dont feel like you are giving away part of the show for free, there are definitely freeloaders out there who only need a couple minutes of a vibe tease to get off so make sure your price reflects that
